At some point we have to realize that glass is a poor form of insulation and architecturally the building community is being irresponsible by contributing to global warming and wasting energy. Would you burn a plastic water bottle in your campfire? Yes, even a little plastic burned goes into our fragile atmosphere. In the future this love affair with glass houses will be looked upon like we view 50's homes with asbestos insulation.

People in log homes shouldn't throw stones. What's the carbon footprint on a log home shipped from the US to Morocco? Screen doors are terrible insulators as well however, that's not their purpose.

Not sure. I've never sent a house from the US to Morocco but I have sent one from Canada. One container on a ship of 1,000 containers from North America however, my footprint minimal as it was, should be balanced by the longevity of the log home (quite possibly well over a 150 years for 60 logs). Many generations will be raised inside these natural, negative ion, log walls. The current structures of glass and steel (though a boon to the window cleaning companies) will at some point become a liability instead of an asset as awareness to climate becomes more prevalent to the future home buyer.
