@cometmoore: The bedroom might be longer than wider, so putting the bed under the windows might have meant the owners would have to squeeze or schooch around to get to the other side of the bed. The door might also lead to the outside or a porch and the owners don't use it, so the decorator decided to incorporate it into the room if it wasn't used. The fourth wall has probably build in closets and the door to the hallway. Typical of mid century styles. Just a guess. :)

I love the architecture of the home, but the rest just looks decorated, and a lot of the same as any other home. The green piano is pretty much the only thing that stands out.

It's a Beautiful World!

What a fun space, each room with its own character. I really enjoyed this article and all the pictures. Hard to believe the house was built back in 1957, the designer has really transformed it into a very modern and cozy place. As an artist, I appreciate a choice of eclectic art pieces as well, they fit beautifully into the overall design... Raisa
