As I worked and lived on a farm in Sharon, Connecticut, I found that this home, while lovely, did not have a couple of key features that any farmer would have. First, there are no shade trees to cool the house in the hot humid summers of Sharon. Every farm house is nestled among a bank of trees. The house is not elevated for the snow storms that howl through Sharon November through March. The house sits unprotected from the wind. I am certain it has a gorgeous view.
The interior design is spartan compared to the farmhouses of real working farmers.

OMG, I can't believe the other comments are so negative. I saved almost every picture to my Ideabook. I love the simplicity and comfort combo, especially the screened porch that probably gets used all the time. I love the simple kitchen, the wildflower meadow encroaching on the small mowed yard, the wood stove in the mudroom for drying outerwear, and the classic look of a farmhouse with an eye on conservation. Kudos to the owner for choosing not to have AC. That's huge. And for creating such a welcoming and accommodating home that's not about overdoing it.
