It could have been interesting if the glasses cabinet had made use of the old window space by being glass backed instead of solid. I'm sure there must be come light through the window.

I love the space at the top of the stairs, that sets the scene for making the whole flat look bigger than it is. Many people would be tempted to fill that space more.
