Painting the Kitchen - After Remodel or Before?

We are asked this questions over and over. We say, wait until the new cabinets and countertops are in. A professional painter will know how to protect them during his painting process.

We would like to shed some light on your painting project that accompanies your kitchen remodeling project. A insight is good to have.

SO why wait until after the kitchen remodel?

Because many things will change that you may not have thought of. As kitchen specialists, we understand how much thought must go into every new element of your new kitchen.

You're not buying a couch, your' changing a permanent structure of your home and it will alter the existing style and feel of the whole kitchen.

A) trim work. Did you have a soffit and your new kitchen won't. You need to account for that.

B) Will you have trim work like crown molding and new window trim that may be a different width? Even is you are going bigger, at the end point, something may change.

C) You won't really be able to choose a color until you see the new room's design and personality. Also, when you change something as big as the cabinets and countertops, the hue of the room changes. It be brighter or darker and you'll need to compensate.Plus it's best to choose a color that is in the countertops to pull the design together.

It is good to know that a house painter purchases materials and provides input about colors and finishes. I am also glad to learn that these people supervise crews. I have heard that it is a good idea to look into what kind of paint the contractor uses before hiring to ensure that it is of a good quality. http://www.paintmolding.com/Custom-Painting-Inland-Empire-CA.html
