WA WALLPAPER

In an advisory capacity, before even attempting to strip any wallpaper, I suggest you seek the advice of an expert in all things wallpaper. I would assume they would give you a free appraisal on your project as well as explain the many variations on the stripping process, due to the number of different types of wallpaper out there. All theory, as even I being an expert have been caught out, mean that some wallpapers strip off easily and others are a nightmare. In Oz, I have used every gadget and product known to man and am still trying to source the one thing that could benefit mankind more than anything else, 'an easy wallpaper remover'. Most wallpapers being stripped require a process of elimination before hitting on the one that works due to the number of different wallpapers and an expert can explain the different processes. For the persons contemplating getting new wallpaper installed, suss out the latest trend in wallpaper manufacturing, which I might add will eventually mean the end in most cases of the paste the paper product. The latest wallpapers are the paste the wall or sometimes called non-woven type, which as the manufacturers state are actually strippable and once again 'theoretically', leave the walls clean with no paper residue. I have stripped a few of these papers and as stated most have come off quite well, certain much better than the 'paste the paper' wallpapers. In conclusion, get the advice of an expert in wallpaper beforehand.

Be aware that some painters and decorators are not up to being considered 'experts in wallpaper'. Seek recommendations of their work and find out their history.

Good luck.

Phew! Wallpaper used to be such a task to remove and even install properly. Now wallpaper can be made differently to make the whole process so much easier without using the professionals. We offer a water activated wallpaper that becomes sticky when wet and allows you to reposition it to align it perfectly. Instead of wetting the paper and using a scorer to remove it, our water activated wallpaper can be pulled right off the wall in one piece when wet!
