Some people hate going to the grocery store and like to keep a well stocked pantry and freezer so as to avoid going to the grocery store. Some are unable to go to the store except once every week or two. Some like to shop at the big warehouses to save money. Some (like myself), in addition to cooking for me and my husband, also cook for his 93 year old mother and the sister and brother-in-law who live with her. I also keep a well stocked pantry at our Lakehouse too because the closest grocery store is 20 miles away. And every appliance I have, I use.

Our nearest grocery store is 30 miles away...the really good store is 70 miles. Some of us do indeed need a pantry. And yes, I also use every appliance I own...from the dehydrator, blender, mixers, (hand and stand) and bread maker, to the food processor, juicer, stick blender, salad shooter, pressure canner, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and conventional oven...no dish washer, though. Ours get done by hand in the kitchen sink. Different strokes for different folks, as the old saying goes!

this client was a chef. so, in addition to a butler pantry and slight pantry directly in kitchen, this was her walk-in pantry with ladder rail. the room is 12'x9' and the lower right hand cabinet is a cart with her food processor to wheel into the kitchen. in addition to other features it was a good place to store the ladder to the high cabinets for the ones in the kitchen.
