She gets to be all pure but notice, she showers at a friends house. Kind of like Thoreau sending his laundry to Mrs. Emerson.

Very inspiring! I will definitely be buying her book. I, myself, am currently remodeling a cargo van with a 5ft ceiling into a "tiny home". No running water but I have a foot pump that does the job. propane stove and a wood burning stove for cooking and heating at high altitude. All you need in life is a bed, clean water, and a fire to cook on. For anyone saying she is living in a "tent" maybe that's true. But that doesn't make it any less her "home". I am not yet living in my van, but the process of minimizing has changed my life. I am already so much happier. I cannot wait to feel the freedom of no rent or mortgage. My house on wheels will allow me to live anywhere I choose.

I do not have any physical ailments, but severe anxiety and depression make living in one space that drains me financially extremely difficult. She's absolutely got the right idea. I am not currently married, but once I start a family I still plan to live small and build a tiny home as well.
