What a charming house. I do echo an earlier post: why subway tile? So many more interesting and style appropriate choices for those fabulous cupboards. And is 1974 really mid century? It is it’s own proud design era.

True true! I would say the style of much of the new furniture leaned mid century. the customer's style preference was for extrememly clean lines and simple colors. Neutrals were desired so the white subway tile was selected by the homeowner.
