Modern Icons: The Logico Lamp
Why Not Have a Cloud-like Chandelier Hover Over Your Table?
Perhaps you've noticed the cloud-like glass pendant light hovering over kichen islands and dining room tables around Houzz. After it caught my eye a few times I decided to learn a bit more. It's the Logico Lamp from Artemide, designed by Michele De Lucchi and Gerhard Reichertand in 2002. Yes, it will put quite a dent in your pocketbook if you choose to buy one. So for now, just do some window shopping and take a look at how architects and interior designers are using this fixture.
This is the triple nested version, where three of the lamps are clustered together. In this space, with all its varying ceiling heights, using two of these lamps draws the eye to their level.
Tip: There's no law that says you have to have small glass pendants over an island (not that there's anything wrong with that). You may find that a unique sculptural light flying solo or in a pair may suit you.

The scale of the triple linear Logico is large enough to avoid being swallowed up by a large space.
While it seems like a lot of the Logicos I see are in very modern and contemporary spaces, this shot proves it also works well in an eclectic space.
