thisismommashouse-thanks for you comments, there is a young man of my acquaintance (school age) who has medical issues that make him unable to control his temper when overly tired or stimulated! At other times he is a joy, a polite well behaved young man. He has excellent parents who work with him constantly and are in frequent contact with professionals to help him learn to control his behavior. His outbursts are not the result of poor parenting but of his medical condition. So I would ask those of you who are hypercritical of a child that acts out to consider that there may be reasons you are unaware of that are contributing to the behavior and the parents need your support not your condemnation.
