I know how it goes. I opted for a small carriage house closer to work so I could get rid of the car and have no attached neighbors: I was an apartment and condo dweller for decades. I'm always looking at possible acquisitions wondering what will GO so the new piece can stay. My dream is to have a second-hand shop that i can initially stock from my own home. Your level of taste is so exquisite and surprising.

@grizzly: A design house for the Junior Symphony Guild featured 50s steel cabinets and new appliances. In order to make the dishwasher and refrigerator work, the designer used adhesive "vehicle wrap" from a sign shop. The results were spectacular: giant daffodils on the refrigerator, blades of grass on the lower steel cabinets, blue sky with a few clouds on the upper steel cabinets, and a nest with blue Robin's eggs on the dishwasher. Vehicle wrap is my new fetish for surface treatments and it's DURABLE.
