Love the painting in #4. Interesting how their insurance paid for the repairs. Our homeowners (State Farm New Orleans) won't. Its considered lack of maintenance on the homeowners part--we just had this happen w old water heaters right before we replaced it.

I like Mediterranean style and all these are quite nice. I think my favorite part are the beamed ceilings that stand out.

However, two of them #2 and 4 have fireplaces that have been more or less painted into the walls. The last one probably had some beautiful original woodwork. It seems a shame that they don't stand out a bit more, even if not the central focus. Maybe a different shade of white or something pale to make them stand out but not compete with the other décor. To me, if you are not going to feature a fireplace you should consider eliminating it given they are generally non-functioning or used only rarely.

I must acknowledge I don't quite understand what is meant by "Mediterranean style". I'm from Europe, and "Mediterranean" can mean any type of traditional style found in houses in Spain, Italy, Greece or southern France. So I'm not too sure exactly which unifying features are supposed to be present to be labelled Mediterranean. Beamed ceilings?
