Sigrid, Spring is a mixed bag everywhere! Here in Connecticut, my species tulips are already over, early daffodils are out, grape hyacinths just started, tulip leaves are high, I just saw red peony and Solomon's Seal shoots, I've sown some early lettuce, radish, and ball carrots--and now we're supposed to have 3 days of snow and sub-freezing nights! My gardening neighbor is going to put vases over her emerging tulips but I have way more tulips than vases so I'm just going to cross my fingers.

I was almost tempted into the garden last week... right now I feel I should be lending hats and scarves to the daffodils who are wondering what just happened! We're below freezing and expecting snow this afternoon... Typical southern Ontario Spring Day!!!

WE had snow showers yesterday in Syracuse. Our spring just doesn't seem to want to start. Some of my plants that have emerged may be lost.
