Trilliums Landscaping & Horticulture
Goldenrod's (Solidago species) are a good choice for September, they match's well with Asters and other late season perennials and are a tough as nails native wildflower. I find it strange that they are popular in Europe, but many North Americans don't use them, maybe it goes back to the days when people believed they caused hay fever (they don't), or think that all the variety's are spreaders (they're not)

Modern, rural planting design. Menston, West Yorkshire · More Info

What a lovely article, and agree grasses look fabulous at this time of year. Your planting en masse adds great impact and interest.

Here grasses have been used more individually, not in groups, to allow visual permeability to the countryside views beyond. I wonder if this grass is the same as the one of the grasses you’ve used in your picture, Calamagrostis Karl Foerster?

And mixed with Verbena bonariensis which complements nicely the texture and adds a pop of colour.
