The recent Maison & Objet 2025 trade fair in Paris showcased a wide variety of outdoor products, reinforcing the trend of using outdoor spaces as natural extensions of our homes’ interiors. These products featuring durable materials and innovative designs may soon transform our yards, patios and balconies. Let’s take a closer look.
Ella chair, Instead
Sustainable designs. The focus on eco-friendly, recycled and local materials continues to grow. The Nantes, France-based brand Instead showcased an innovative collection of seats made from brewers’ spent grain, a byproduct of the beer-making process. Ethnicraft, another brand at the fair, uses recycled teak scraps and environmentally friendly concrete in its designs. Greece-based BlueCycle specializes in recycled plastic, transforming unusable fishing nets into outdoor chairs.

Hyphen, Cornilleau
Cornilleau, the iconic French pingpong brand, also presented its innovations for outdoor play. These included the Hyphen pingpong table and the Origin pool table, another new product for 2025. The latter, with its wooden legs, pays homage to Cornilleau’s roots in cabinetmaking.
Several other manufacturers released their own designer pingpong tables, including the sleek You and Me table from RS Barcelona.
