I don't have an iPad and am not an Apple person. I've been looking for a digital frame that will also show videos our Nikon digital camera made. Couldn't find that and this article wasn't much help generally.

There is a photo wizard program with microsoft, you use a usb adapter to plug your memory chip or plug adapter to your camera to download. We used this prior to our apple days. We could view our photos and videos on the computer. Also they can be uploaded to various internet storage areas such as above mentioned Google as well as Photobucket etc etc. I have to say the apple computers were a big step for us but we'll never go back. Never had a headache one from them. We now use a apple tv device which we use to connect phone and or computer via wifi. I lay in bed and watch photo slideshows on my tv while we're choosing what to watch at night.
Sorry so long:) but technology can be a beautiful thing.

Ummmm....I bought the Looqs frame for my husband for xmas. Turns our the Looqs company went out of business in late 2011. I had selected the frame for its ability to connect to Picasa and Flickr and update automatically and wirelessly. However, this feature was non-functional and there is no longer any customer service. Nor was it possible to set the clock or location (it defaulted back to the factory settings every time....), which rendered the alarm and local weather features useless as well. Needless to say, I returned this frame pronto.
