This article puts a very positive spin (almost too positive) as to what is happening in my area. My leads and thus project start times have decreased dramatically in the last two quarters. Sounds like I am not the only one anticipating better results in the coming year. There is more DIY activity on the part of owners who are expecting more for less. I believe that the HDTV network has destroyed our industry by misrepresenting the design process, real budgets and timeline expectations.

Harris McClain Kitchen & Bath

It's been a very busy year for us. We are booked until December already. Everyone has multiple bathrooms we are remodeling. So I am officially calling this The year of the bathrooms. Unfortunately it cuts into our sales to our cabinet vendors since most bathrooms only have a vanity. It usually slows down for us around November but last year we never did have a slow down. This is a good sign for everyone I hope!
