We have 2 small bathrooms that I have renovated. The first, has baseboard electrical heating, so a very small unit was installed. This bathroom is an inside room in the condo building, and we never turn on the heat.

The 2nd bathroom is a bathroom I frequent throughout the day, to do hand wash, put on make-up, do my hair, etc. We installed a heating system under the ceramic tile, and the controls on the wall include a heating schedule. I change the schedule depending on the season. This is a fantastic addition for this bathroom.

We also redid a tiny bathroom in a 1790 duplex. To make the room feel as large as possible, we flipped the room and removed a claw foot tub, and put the commode and the floating marble sink (our own custom design we had fabricated at a local stone yard) there, and did a large walk-in shower on the other side where the sink and toilet used to be. Unlacquered brass by California Faucets. Simple porcelain penny tile in a fun pattern—was plain white hex before—and 4x4s for shower make it look a little vintage.

A deep, floor to ceiling linen closet that is next to the floating marble sink is the only original element we kept after stripping to the studs. In addition to holding linens, it has electrical outlets fitted inside, and also acts like a giant medicine cabinet so our tiny bathroom is never cluttered.

Where did the storage artwork come from? Love that idea.
