For the average homeowner today, I have found the built in ironing boards to be very costly in the U.S., too. $400 - $500 and up! Times change, I remember there being one in the small kitchen of my immigrant grandparents modest 1940's Cape Cod style home in Massachusetts, and they were not wealthy! And, it came with the house! Not a renovation!
