What causes the daylily leaves to yellow? Like you, it drives me nuts and I keep thinking I'm missing some nutrient. Thanks!

It's normal to get yellowing leaves and brown leaf tips after flowering, and not because of a nutrient deficiency. Best thing to do is just remove the spent leaves. If the plant looks very weak, you can try cutting it right back, water well and let new foliage re-emerge.

In Georgia, once the daylily blooms, I cut the flower stem off then trim the leaves to a 4 or 5 inch fan...//\\. Keeps insects to a minimum.
