I have had 2 Totos and LOVE them for a number of reasons although I have had a problem with the one in this house. I put my 1st one in my former house when I remodeled the master bath and loved it. When I had to move to a different state, I was thrilled to have one in my condo here, in a bathroom that was remodeled by its former owner. Also a Toto and a slightly newer, more expensive model. After about a year and half I had a problem with it and the SEAT had to be returned to Toto on the west coast at great inconvenience! They actually shipped me a carton for returning it with all the needed bubblewrap for protection. Luckily I had a 2nd toilet on the 1st floor! This was a real pain in the proverbial! I do not know if any manufacturer has local facilities to repair problems that develop or not, Toto does NOT. I now live in a large city (St.. Louis). The problem in my case at least, was in the electronics so this was understandable but is a REAL CONSIDERATION!

I always thought bidets were a wonderful idea and definitely were on my 'list'. The bidets I found in European countirie consisted of 2 separate pieces of 'equippment' and you must have room for the two, but otherwise less complicated, but no heated seats...which are really nice! Iwould definitely reccomend one of the new ones especially with newer thought put into the designs and a much lower cost!

A lot of men do not see the point, but my current Toto was installed in a household of just two men (one a doctor). Iwould not want to be without mine now! I am happy to answer questions!

Margery_griffith is yours a wall hung toilet? I’m considering one in a new build for ease of steam cleaning as I’m getting older it’s harder to kneel to clean around the toilet. Also does yours need electric? If so what do you do when you lose electricity? We’ve been without electric for a week at times.
