@Decorative Dishes. That is the best eye-wiping laugh out loud I've had on Houzz. I was a teenager in the 70s, loved the clothes but even then the jumpsuits would have been cringe worthy - though I have to admit to dating a guy who wore sparkly platforms! I just have a memory of awful carpets which were either brown and orange flowers or shagpile....white bathroom suites replaced by wine, avocado or brown, the trend in interiors seemed to be to dark, dark, dark to reduce rather than enhance any available light. Yes I loved my platforms but when it came to interiors the 70s truly was the decade that style forgot!

I came of age in the '70s, went to Pratt Institute '73-77. That decade had the best music. Ok, I liked my hiphugger bell bottoms. But decor?? Save me!
