I love this book! It probably has something to do with growing up reading my mom's 70's and early 80's home design books, which were full of conversation pits. I actually "borrowed" my mom's copy of Inside Today's Home by Ray and Sarah Faulkner - the version I have was published in 1975 and it is full of spaces that look totally current. I'll look through and scan anything I find!

Kit, I LOVE finding old books like that at consignment shops! I have an entire shelf of them here, and I upload favorite pages to flickr all the time. Let me know what you find!
