Love some of these ideas! I have a dead butterfly bush with great 'bones' that I have kept in place, waiting for inspiration. Now I'm ready to 'step out there' with something unique.

Thought I'd share a couple more pictures. The old metal foot board was bought for all of $3.30 from the local junk yard and walked out of there to the car. (Man, I need a truck!!). Three types of ferns are planted within. Added a statue of a little girl (Evangeline--found at an estate sale)-- pouts at the edge of the bed. In the background is the Door to Nowhere that was posted earlier.

The second photo is a discarded shrub found at the side of the road--complete with its root system. After power washing all the dirt out, I sprayed painted it copper. Then placed it on an old car wheel that was also sprayed painted. I love the look that the branches have that seem like they've been caught in a strong wind.

Always love the idea of salvaging, especially when you see bottles every shapes and sizes lying around everywhere. But I always hesitate on its aesthetic. Will it turn my house into a unique-artsy sanctuary or house of garbage? LOL
