I'm redoing my bathroom and just ordered 2 mirrors that are 24x36. Could I do one big light vanity on top or do I have to have 2 individual lights?

gviverito - yes you could do that if you don't have any other option. Below is an example of what that might look like. It would be better if the fixture covered as much of the two mirrors as possible for better balanced lighting at each sink. It would also be more a pleasing aesthetic than having a light end in the middle of the each mirror.

gviverito - I'd have to disagree. Have designed and am building my own boutique hotel, and while I often think that I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I've done a ton of research on bathroom lighting. I have trouble imagining a scenario where the only lighting around the mirror is from above. Everybody, especially older folk, usually look terrible in such lighting. I've never met a woman who wanted anything besides side lighting for putting on make-up. It just screams bad design to this one fellow.
