Another important aspect of a contract is what work is excluded and what kind of preparation the contractor will be doing on this particular job. There are also many different grades of paint by every manufacturer so it is important for a contractor to specify exactly which grade and brand of paint will be used for a specific job. Unfortunately , there are some contractors that do not specify the grade and brand of paint and that can make a major difference in the price of a bid on a project. This in turn will affect the duration of the wear of the paint. In that way a consumer can make a fair and honest decision on professionals using similar products and or warranties.

Don't be shy about what you want and make sure it's written in the contract. Your not doing yourself or the contractor any favors by holding back on what you really want and expect and you can could very well make your contractor feel like your trying to take advantage of his good nature. The contract is there so both parties are on the same page as what is to be done as part of the project. The contractor wants to make every client happy but they are not mind readers. Take the extra time to get the wording right and you can avoid future problems.
