I've always thought that a great idea was to make your own furniture the accent piece of the living room. I always liked scandinavian and mid century modern and could never afford that kind of decor. Now I recently bought a womb chair and it was superb. I really don't need anything in that wall but the chair. And I can sit on it. And it has an ottoman. It really doesn't need much. A white side table could be useful but it's not to die for. I love to do that now and I'm thinking about keep doing that.
