The decluttering is the time consuming part. Getting rid of "stuff" is hard for some people. As a kid, I devoted fifteen minutes before bed to organize my room, and I had daily chores as well. Teaching the kids to organize their lives from an early age helps them in school and lets them sleep better. If you want an organized mind, an organized environment is needed. Doesn't have to be sterile, just organized.

WskerFoot: FlyLady.net provides tips, schedules, challenges, etc. that make 20 minutes a day enough to maintain an organized home. Baby steps taken one day at a time. It's a great tool!
