Wonderful info for growing roses

The author of this article might have been a bit more informative by giving some backstory on the roses and also mentioning that the great David Austin, who began breeding roses in the 1960's, died late last year.

I have been growing these roses for more than 30 years and have 19 varieties at my current residence, with more to be added next year. The rose handbook, which the David Austin company publishes every year, gives specific details about which ones do best in shade, in hot climates, for specific purposes, etc. Much info is also on their website.
