> We sought out Teresa’s consulting services because of her expertise in Florida-Friendly Landscaping. She was responsive and pro-active in getting us scheduled. During the consultation, Teresa walked us through possibilities and opportunities of our landscape. She was encouraging and supportive of our efforts and ideas. And she was knowledgable, informative, and thorough in how we could refine and improve them. Above all, she was kind and pleasant to work with. We would enthusiastically recommend her for your projects!

**Comment from Sustainable Horticultural Environments:**

> Thank you so much for your review. I enjoyed meeting you both and walking your yard. You have made a great start and I'm looking forward to seeing how your garden grows. Take care, Teresa

**★★★★★ — Lou Williams, May 2025**

> I’ve gardened a lot over the years, but my efforts never quite achieved the results I was looking for. Enter the wonderful Teresa Watkins… What a difference she made with her ideas and plant suggestions and selections. I am so very pleased with the results, especially now that winter is over and my yard is blooming with abundance. It all looked wonderful the day she finished the project, but it’s looking even more wonderful as plants flower and mature. Everything she installed is Florida friendly or a Florida native, so not only am I happy, but my plants are happy and thriving.
>
> Thank you, Teresa, not only for your wonderful landscaping ideas but for being so fabulously YOU. I only wish I had a bigger yard, so I could see even more of your ideas.

**Comment from Sustainable Horticultural Environments:**

> Louise, I've enjoyed working with you and seeing your passion. Thank you very much for the opportunity.

**★★★★★ — Jim and Shirley jackson, Jan. 2025**

> The sale of the adjacent house and the subsequent construction of a seawall along the rear of both of our properties triggered the removal of a decades-old hedge and the disruption of much of the other landscaping. It left my wife and myself with the need and opportunity to redesign much of our sub-tropical landscaping. We knew what we wanted to do in many areas. As we worked on the redesign, it became apparent that we needed assistance in pulling it all together to both unify the design and to feature the various plants we had, especially bromeliads.

> We are long time experienced “do it ourselves” gardeners who were overwhelmed with our big project. Meeting Teresa Watkins was a fortunate turning point for us. She immediately determined and interacted with us based on our gardening goals, joys and challenges. She deftly wove her expertise into guidance that was engaging, astute, and generated new perspectives for us. We are thrilled with the momentum and outcomes from our initial consultation. She gave us confidence, practical information and tools, and an exciting vision. We look forward to her further astute guidance as we now proudly evolve our garden into a functional and aesthetic point of pride.

**Comment from Sustainable Horticultural Environments:**

> Jim and Shirley, I'm pleased that I was able to help you with your beautiful property. You have good instincts, and I look forward to seeing your efforts in the future! Keep up the good work!

> I spent 40 years as a real-estate broker and residential contractor in West Orange County Florida. Landscaping tends to be the last thing on builders and developers minds it all ends up looking the same as all the neighbors. When I decided to build several additions to my home I wanted new landscaping. Teresa was the answer To making my new landscaping:POP". Teresa is meticulous and thorough. She is so knowledgeable and knows what plants work together to compliment and enhance the overall landscaping. I am so glad I found her. It wasn't hard to find out about her. She was highly recommended by everyone I talked to! We discussed a budget and she stayed right with it. Teresa coordinated the installation and her contractor was the best ! Teresa was on top of the job, start to finish. She also coordinated my new paver driveways and irrigation. The landscaping was finished last March and it has grown and flourished over the summer, and it looks fabulous! I recommend Teresa to everyone looking for landscape help without hesitation because I know that Teresa will always give a 5 star+job!

**Comment from Sustainable Horticultural Environments:**

> Thank you so much for the review. I am thrilled that you love your renovation. You have a beautiful yard and it was wonderful to work with you.

**★★★★★ — Lucy Warren, Aug. 2024**

> Teresa is a very knowledgeable and talented landscape artist. She transformed our boring front yard into a beautiful blended oasis of tropical and succulent plants, pleasing both my husband and I. My desk is next to the window that overlooks our yard, and I look forward to taking in the gorgeous view every day. Teresa is extremely creative, but also listens to her clients' wishes. We would highly recommend her for any landscaping challenge.

**Comment from Sustainable Horticultural Environments:**

> Lucy and Blake, thank you so much for your review. It was a thrill to see all your landscape plants that we could use to renovate your yard and your beautiful gazebo that you can enjoy now. Let me know if you need anything else!

**★★★★★ — Anat Even Or, June 2024**

> Teresa has helped us in conceptualizing and bringing our garden vision to life. Out front yard is a showstopper and we have received so many compliments from people passing by on it's uniqueness. Morover, it looks great year round, and requires minimal watering since Teresa recommended using local and perrenial plants. Teresa listened to our needs and requests and 100% created everything we asked for. She gave us great advice, was very patient and responsive to our many questions and gave us information so we are well educated to take care of our plats moving forward.

**★★★★★ — Ch'uya Lane, April 2024**

> Teresa Watkins brings a wealth of knowledge about horticulture and Florida specific plants, as well as contacts with local providers (growers, contractors, etc), all at very reasonable prices. We wanted Florida friendly landscaping with a variety of trees, plants and flowers that did not require tons of maintenance, but that offered varying colors and blooms over the course of each year. She helped us to create a beautiful oasis that we enjoy every day! As part of her service, she left us with a binder full of easily accessible information about each plant and how to care for the plants in a sustainable way. We also were able to include paving and stone work as part of the landscaping that turned out beautifully. Teresa has made herself available to us for any questions and follow-up as needed - we are very happy with the outcome and the ongoing support!

**Comment from Sustainable Horticultural Environments:**

> David and Ch'uya, you were wonderful to work with. I hope you enjoy your home and landscape for years to come. Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything. Teresa

**★★★★★ — Nick, April 2024**

**★★★★★ — HU-133599277, Sept. 2023**

> I did a bit of research to find Teresa and due to her Houzz ratings and her photo gallery of her work I decided to meet with her and determined then she was the one I could collaborate with to lead our landscape design for our new custom dream home. She is a wonderful listener and balanced well the inputs from both my wife and I. Before getting into the design work I had accumulated over many months some concepts and she helped professionally shape them, accepting some, modifying some, rejecting some. We were going for a minimalist, xeriscaping look with as much of the California plant vibe as possible and as feasible in our new Florida climate which we were not familiar with. She is a wealth of landscape knowledge, not just book smart but knows the Florida environment so well - she simply was the right pair of expert hands to lead our design. Citrus, agave, cacti, palms….a great coordination of tropical diversity. And to top it all off she directed us to a great lighting partner she works with and once all complete we never expected to appreciate our landscaping into the night.

**★★★★★ — Cheryl Zelenak, Jan. 2023**

> Teresa is an absolute pleasure to work with and an amazing landscape designer! Teresa's process was a joy to go through, starting with a conversation and a wish list. She is a great listener and can transform your ideas into beautiful designs that are even better than what you dreamed of. She works with your landscape and unique challenges to create a design that creates impact. In my case, I also hired her to oversee the project to ensure that everything went smoothly and I was so happy that I did because I knew I was in the hands of a professional. I absolutely love the end result even at the outset, knowing that the garden will continue to grow and mature into it's full glory over time. I can say that the final look was nothing short of \*Magical\* and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to make their home come to life in a beautiful and sustainable way. She's truly the best!

**Comment from Sustainable Horticultural Environments:**

> Cheryl, it was a great experience working with you. You knew what you wanted and you were open to ideas. Thank you for the opportunity to create a beautiful landscape. It does look amazing! I'm looking forward to creating a backyard "Secret" garden for you and your family.
