About Me:

I am a one-man business, so your project will always receive my full attention. I can guarantee my clients a daily, on-site presence, and I pride myself in taking a hands-on approach.

I will work closely with you at every stage, from designing the home, gathering bids and selecting a builder to finding the right pieces - flooring, siding, wall coverings, appliances, fixtures and even furniture for the right look. I'll put it all together and follow up with you to ensure that the end result meets or even exceeds your expectations. I have even been known to take the extra step of unpacking and organizing your home.

Because I am independent, I don't endorse any particular companies or products. I enjoy mixing styles, and I relish good design in all its forms. I have established and maintain good relationships with contractors, subcontractors and other designers and architects. I have a passion for perfection, and my past clients have reported 100% satisfaction with my services.

My Philosophy:

Deciding to build a home is one of the largest projects you'll undertake. The challenges are many: determining where, what and when to build; setting timelines; tracking details; and staying on budget. Many financial and emotional resources are enveloped into this process, and new home-owners do not want to be disappointed. While you can see your ideal home in your mind's eye, it's not always easy to communicate how you envision the finished product and to navigate the waters of homebuilding. That's where I come in. My job is to listen carefully and translate your concept into your dream home. I'll take part as early or late into the process as you'd like, and I tailor my services to match your project.

> Mitch has been working with us on our dream home over the past year.  We requested that he bring the beautiful trees and shoreline outside into our home.  He has an amazing overall vision of our home design and also has an eye for detail at every phase of the project.  Although, I understand what he is trying to accomplish during the planning phase, I could not really visualize the effect until after the build started and his plan continues to come to life.  He is truly bringing the outside into our home with elements that flow through the glass windows.  He also has carefully selected master craftsman and artists to obtain the desired look of the details of our custom contemporary home.

This was a complex project lasting over a year with Mitch assisting with everything from the initial home design, material selections, sourcing furnishings & accessories, wallpaper & custom drapery selections, installations, delivery of furnishings, etc. He treated the project as if it were his own. Mitch is a very gifted interior designer. His creative ideas, high attention to detail, and elements of surprise are reflected throughout every room. The end result was above & beyond our already high expectations.

> I would say that I am particular, have strong opinions about just how things should be, especially if I am paying for them. I have worked with Mitch on three different projects and with other designers before I met him. Mitch outdid the others by a long shot. He has an eye for design that is different, no cookie cutter results. He listens to who I am and what I want, but fortunately, he knows when to be persistent, too. We had a few design battles that he won, and I couldn’t be more pleased that he did. (Green garage sale beds? I hate green. Well, now I smile every time I walk by those beds. Love them.)
> Mitch's approach is not linear. He keeps himself open to evolving and better ideas. He is flexible, creative, artistic. He did not sit down with me, show me a palette and drawings and finished vision, and then march to the end. He brought things in, changed others out, got a sense of what I was liking and wasn't, painted a wall and then repainted it. In the end, the result was far better and I don’t feel I spent any extra money because of the bargains he found and discounts he negotiated. If you work with Mitch, I would advise you to go with his flow if you are not that sort of person normally, as I am not.

His eye for design is incredible; he has one-of-a-kind touches, textures and character,  that make a home unique, elegant and at the same time warm and welcoming.   I cannot recommend him more highly!  Unusual to find someone so driven to perfection, with personality that is a pure delight to work with.  His knowledge and passion is unmatched.   If you trust him with your vision, he makes an even better dream come true.  This is the fourth home we have built, (the first with Mitch) and no one comes close to his giftedness, expertise, attention to detail and results.
