> I have had the pleasure of working with Alpha Interiors on many custom high end homes throughout South Texas. Every project runs smoothly and she is delightful to work with. Her clients always say great things about how happy they are to have hired Martha. I can truthfully endorse this company without hesitation. You can be assured your project will be handled professionally!

> In July 2014, I paid this vendor for a wall divider, and she didn't order it until November. It has not been delivered for installation. She refuses to refund me the deposit I paid her.

**Comment from Alpha Interiors:**

> In response to a review by a past client of a room divider, the room divider was purchased and paid for in full. On the day of installation the client was notified of a family emergency in resulted in postponing the install by a few days. Upon trying to reschedule the installation the client refused the room divider by stating she no longer wanted it nor installation

## Community Q&A

**Q: I want to replace this ceiling fan ! It’s too dark and bulky. Should C** *(in Design Dilemma)*

A: With the color scheme you have going a brush nickel hugger fan with a light kit would work perfect.

**Q: Hi Everybody!! quick decision for fabric** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Which fabric looks better agains the counter top
Always, Thank You
Pam

A: the last picture is a huge help. the second fabric looks the best with your countertop and cabinet color. so I would use that I e above kitchen sink window then let the settee stand alone and make a statement with a splash of color

**Q: Potental Lake House** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Can you offer suggestions on how to turn this ugly duckling into a swan?????? Thinking of purchasing this lake property but would love some suggestions on what to do with the exterior. Thanks!

A: first the house is really nice. it just needs some simple TLC. first change the front door with a glass insert to.let natural light in. Next paint the shutters maybe a blue ir a color you like black would look great as well. Trim the bushes so they are a shrub not a Bush. last thing do a flower bed in front of the house that has some curves to it with plants and bird bath and statues. Also maybe a tall cypress tree on the end corner. there is alot of potential for that house

**Q: Basement Trim and Cabinet Color** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am having our basement finished an currently picking out colors for the built in cabinets and trim. The main level and upstairs has maple trim, doors and windows. The stair leading down to the basement have maple railings and trim. The basement already has maple windows and doors. When finishing the basement should we stick with maple for the trim and cabinets or will it look ok to move to white?

A: go with a cream white cabinets to keep it soft not the the yellow cream

**Q: Fireplace Remodel** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi I'm in need of some design advice.
I'm wanting to transform this fireplace into something a little better. My ceilings are high but I don't think I'm wanting to take a design allllll the way up. I am, however, open to your thoughts and ideas.
Oh, and I'm having dark wood Floors installed, if that helps with anything :)

Thanks

A: I would remove the fireplace even though you make not use it that much there are other decorating options you have.
One option is to take it to the ceiling, what I would do I would take it almost all the way up leaving about 2-3 feet from ceiling and remove the mantel recessed that wall in about 8-10”’s that will give it some dimension provided there is nothing blocking from inside the wall. Find some fabulous looking tile that will go with your decor and have it installed. The ledge will allow you to still be able to decorate. By keeping the arch at the very top you can add a couple of adjustable eyeball spotlights to show off your gorgeousness tile and any displaces out do.

**Q: New color for kitchen with antiqued cream cabinets, open concept** *(in Paint)*

We just moved into a house with antiqued cream cabinets that read quite "yellow" at times. It is an open space shared with a potential eat-in area and large family room. We don't like the brownish tone that is on the wall now, and would also like a color to offset the yellowness of the cabinets. We're feeling restricted by the brown tones in the antiquing. Repainting/refinishing the cabinets is out of the question currently. Help with color please! Photos are from the original listing.

A: Do you have a better picture showing the granite and backsplash?
