It's a 60s vintage.. **Q: Need help in my tv/family room!!!** *(in Design Dilemma)* Need help with this room, my new kitchen opens into this room and looks so dark compared to my bright kitchen. Where do I put the tv? What do I do with the wall to wall paneling(do I cover it up, paint it, or leave the bottom half)? Should i remove the beams on the ceiling to make it look bigger? And yes, it is an awful ugly cream almost yellow color. I like a traditional and clean look that is kid friendly. Any advice is welcomed! A: What do you love about the space? I don't know whether to stain, paint, carpet (least desirable) or something else to improve the appearance. Thanks for any suggestions! A: Chalk Paint in a teal or red or whatever color you want. Paint solid, use a stencil or paint tape too. Use protective wax for wear and tear and water proofing. **Q: brick** *(in Photo Questions)* mfr. style and color please. love that it looks worn! A: Thank you for reaching out. The brick was already in place when I designed the decor of the exterior space. However you can recreate this look with any fireplace by distressing it with with tools and paint. There are many online sights with instructions and businesses that can create the look. If you can find a local brick yard, you may also find they may carry something very similar. Please let me know what you find and how it goes. **Q: I love this sign!** *(in Photo Questions)* Hi. After seeing this art above the fireplace, I have looked all over the internet for one with the words written like this. Most signs I've seen have calligraphy type printing or are smaller. . On this sign, I love the different sizes of the words and that some are even written side ways. It's such a beautiful quote from Maya Angelou. Where can I find this sign?
