> Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had working with a contractor/design company. Be very careful if you decide to go with them. Make sure you get a cap on the amount over budget that can be spent. I admit It was a tough project and probably over their skill level, therefore that along with the many mistakes that were made throughout, destroyed the budget. And finally, once they finally left,  the repairs that needed to be done was unfortunate.

> Ms.. Black, was sued by Lawrence A. Adams Construction for lack of payment. Lawrence A. Adams Construction won the case.  Ms. Black selected every product that went into her project and was informed when her selections were over the estimated budget, Ms. Black approved all the cost over runs.  As she told the Judge, the project was beautiful and so was the workmanship, but did not want to pay the cost overruns.  There were no repairs left to be done.  There was work that needed to be finished but Ms. Black refused to let us back on the job to complete the work. Lawrence A. Adams Construction offered to complete the job at no extra charge to her. One of the most import things to Lawrence A. Adams Construction and Melinda Interior Designs is a satisfied client.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Vanity top options** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I bought this dresser to be the vanity in my master bath.  Of course, I  leapt before I looked and didn't take into consideration the curved front. I was thinking I would tile the top, but I can't figure out how to do that with a curved top.  Do I have any other options, besides a custom top?

A: A good tile person could tile the top,one with an artist eye.  But, the grout joint is different from front to back, the tile is cut into a wedge shape.  The piece doesn't look that large ,have you thought about finding a remnant piece of granite for the top.

**Q: living room/dining room** *(in Polls)*

Help, I want to get new furniture but I don't know what to do.  I would like to get the most seating space.  We have put our TV up above the fireplace so that has given us a lot more room. We have Hot water heat so we can't knock out the back window. I  would like to make some kind of dining space also.   HELP

A: What does the door in the picture lead to? What size is the room? Can the hot water heater move to another location.  In looking at the picture you have to many chairs.

**Q: Small condo kitchen from Builder to Custom** *(in Before & After)*

This was supposed to be just a small kitchen reno but we ended up completely renovating the entire  condo including replacing all of  the floors, the kitchen, the bathroom, doing custom closets and all new furnishings. 
Even though the kitchen is really small, I love how it turned out.  So does my client.

**Q: My wife's fireplace idea** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My wife and I wanted to do something with our fireplace. She told me she thought it would be nice to paint it orange. I skeptically agreed and glad I did! It turned out very nice!

A: The psychology of the color orange gives the feeling of good health.  Like the color but the mantle needs to be heavier to balance out the scale of the brick and intensity of the 
color.
