Our favorite thing about June is that she is very genuine, making it easy to trust her quickly. My husband and I are not HGTV people. We knew very little about interior design. Not only did June give us an exceptional design plan, but she did it in very little time and within our budget. We had a lot to do to improve our house so we had to be very particular in where we spent our money. June understood that and was happy to work with us without making us feel awkward or inadequate. If we had emergencies during the construction process, she was always the first to respond. My favorite part, actually, was after the construction. June asked if she could come take some "after pictures" for her own records. We came to her in early November knowing that we needed to furnish our living room properly in advance of our entire family descending from out of town for Christmas. I was kind of awkward at first, knowing that we might have different taste. However, June listened and adjusted to what I liked. In a short time, we selected a delightful suite of living room furniture. June made sure the furniture arrived on time and arrived on the delivery day to put everything gorgeously in place while I worked on my business, including tactfully putting aside some junk and even offering to hang our art. That gave me huge relief, because it was the day before my guests were to arrive, and I had no time to deal with it. I was also impressed that June did many things off the clock and didn't charge us extra when she realized it would suit our taste and lack of time best to order our art gallery wrapped. June also found a way to repurpose four lamps that we had so that they went with the decor where they were situated. I have already hired Shea Studio Interiors for an additional project to spruce up my bedroom and office. Additionally, June's suggestion to move my office from upstairs to downstairs has tremendously benefitted my business operations, will save me on taxes, and will provide me a better sense of peace in the upstairs, "home" part of my home/office. My family was very comfortable using the furniture we selected (except for the jealousy, perhaps), and my sister-in-law said it looked like something out of a magazine! After our decision to purchase, June recommended and arranged for a contractor to be available just as our purchase was finalized. June was invaluable in designing the remodel of the master bathroom from a one sink, small shower and toilet area to a new, very large master bathroom housing a walk-in shower, 2 separate sinks/cabinet areas, bath tub, cabinets galore and separate toilet area. The new space was made available by incorporating the original bathroom with an adjoining hallway and walk-in closet. June drew several plans from which we picked one and then she tweaked it a bit to include specifics important to us. The selection of all materials was made with care and attention to detail. June is direct in her comments and will tell you her opinion of why she thinks something will work good or not. June also recommended a cabinet person/company, We have been happy with all her recommendations. June helped us selected paint colors throughout the house, suggested some furniture and picture placement of things we already had and helped decide on all new furniture and fabric for the family room. The other major remodel was building the living room space into a study/library. With our input of the number of feet we wanted for library shelves to house our books, June designed the room, giving us great storage space and a built in computer desk that we had wanted included. She added a quartz desk top that blends beautifully with the bookshelves and cabinetry. As in any job, things happen like a new blind not working, or a valance being made the wrong size by a company, but June takes care of these things and makes everything right.
