While there were some areas we were very pleased, at the end of it all we are left disappointed. > > Our designer was very lackluster. He was remote, and never saw the property. I had to correct missing physical features in the plans since he was working from photos. And once the crew arrived, they made multiple changes, both to the plans and the plant choices. Ultimately, the design experience was not worth paying for. > > Our PM was very responsive during the project, and the crew was professional and courteous. Unfortunately we did have a miss on a change, and we are left with a planter that was not irrigated, which is surrounded by hardscape. It's a frustrating error that means we either have to hand water or leave it bare. > > When the project wrapped up, though, things fell apart. From the very beginning of the process, we were repeatedly assured Picture Build would provide ongoing maintenance. This was important to us, as we planned to rent our home. Being 3300 miles away, we wanted to make sure our investment was taken care of. For months I had to continually follow up and ask about it maintenance schedule. I made a visit to the property and realized a few plants had died. I continued to ask what the plan for ongoing routine would be. Several times a person did go out, but only after me calling and emailing. > > I also had to repeatedly ask to be billed for these sporadic visits. Finally, I received an email from the office with a bill for visits I assume happened, and a note that Picture Build would not be providing service as it was too far. This was incredibly disappointing, but even more so,I found that they left our keys in an open mailbox without telling us. This was incredibly unprofessional, especially as the service provider knew our home was vacant. I was so disappointed - I have no idea how long the keys were left there. Brian was happy to bid each part of the project separately and help us prioritize. We felt so comfortable with Brian and his crew and his bid that we ended up doing everything all at once.
