Lo Chen Design is an interior design practice based in New York and Hong Kong.

Lo Chen is the founder and creative director of Lo Chen Design, a full-service design firm specializing in hospitality, residential, commercial interiors, staging, and model home design. The firm operates in various locations, with a primary focus on the United States, specifically in Miami, The Hamptons, and Manhattan, NY, as well as internationally.

Embracing her love of art and design, she integrates the client's needs and aspirations with the limitless possibilities of space, form, color, light, and material functionally and aesthetically.  Lo grew up in cosmopolitan Hong Kong, she is also passionate to combine oriental and western culture in some of her work.

Lo holds a BFA in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design and Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She gained valuable experience at renowned global design firms, such as Tony Chi & Associates and BBGM, specializing in hospitality design. Additionally, she collaborates with Interior Marketing Group, one of the top New York staging companies. These experiences have sharpened her knowledge of refined craftsmanship, distinct furnishing, ingenious aesthetics, impeccable attention to detail, and practical skills in both interior design and architecture.

Her work has been featured and referenced in leading international publications.

> Lo (who was recommended to us by a friend) did an amazing job designing our apartment in connection with the renovation of our 2 BR / 2 BA apartment in Manhattan.  Lo provided excellent designs after we provided her with examples of our preferred Japandi styles / designs.  Based on those preferences Lo designed our living room and home office shelving units in addition to our radiator / air conditioning covers / storage units located under our windows.  Lo also provided invaluable recommendations for all of our furniture, kitchen cabinets and bathroom hardware (including tiles and vanities) and came up with great suggestions for things we did not even know existed (such as a ventless fireplace) and worked directly with showroom staff.  Lo worked exceptionally well with our GC and his crew, which helped to make the renovation project less stressful overall.  She was also very responsive to any questions or issues that popped up along the way.

> This person has poor communication skills. We had an email exchange with 12 emails back and forth in which she set a time and date for us to meet at my new home, 5 days before the close. The seller, broker, contractor, and myself all worked around her schedule. She had promised to work at a discounted rate since I am a healthcare professional, so I did my best to accommodate her. She emailed me two nights before our appt expressing doubts because she said she rarely starts on a project before the client closes and has had problems before. I did my best to assure her the close was going to happen, but I also felt confused by her indecisiveness. Then she proceeded to cancel 36 hours before our scheduled appt...very disappointed ☹️ And she really left me in a lurch.

A: Thank you for your compliment.  It is grasscloth wallpaper by Philip Jefferies.

Can you tell me the manufacturer and name of the fabric?

A: It is from Duralee.  However, the fabric is discontinued.  You can ask them if they have similar fabric by showing them the pic.

**Q: What color paints did you use on the walls/moldings etc.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Would you have done anything different if the room was smaller, paint wise?  I just purchased new bedding which the coverlet looks like it's the grayish color of the one on this bed, the actual duvet is more purple than gray.  I would love to now do the walls in a dark gray with white moldings, but the room is a small bedroom so trying to figure out a light color for the walls (and a color for the headboard!) What color is the headboard here as well?:  Thanks so much, this room is fantastic and one of the more unique designs I've seen on houzz!

A: Sorry for the late reply.  Let me know if you still want my advice.  
I suggest to use very light gray color for the wall.  Light color usually will make the room seem bigger.  The headboard in the photo is medium gray.
