We also wanted a large front porch so we could sit outside and enjoy the lovely sunsets, a large kitchen and lots of natural lighting. > > Steve rose to the occasion on all of these constraints, and with help from Lauren, designed a house we absolutely love, showing great skill and creativity and also patience as we worked our way through the process. He is also committed to building with energy efficiency in mind. What does it separate a bedroom? Concrete floors are great are they heated. Nice separation of kitchen from other room with hearth A: Thank you for your inquiry. The glass wall is a partition to the master bedroom. Light bounces through (not noise) and both spaces are visually opened up. The floors are acid stained concrete with radiant floor heat. Very comfy. The challenge in this particular design was to separate the living room from the kitchen, but keep it visually open. Thus the two sided fireplace.
