> We see new construction everyday and we can truly say Ryan Smith builds one of the nicest homes in the area. We would recommend Ryan Smith Builders to anyone wanting to build a custom home that will stand apart from the rest.

> We loved building our first home with Ryan Smith Builders. In fact, we loved it so much he is building us another one right now! Ryan's knowledge & experience is more than evident when you work with him. He has been with us for every step of the process. Having Ryan to help with picking out our location to build and drafting our plans has made the entire process much easier. He is on top of all of the materials & design options that are on the market now. He has suggested many additions to our home that are now some of our favorite parts.

> When we decided to build again we knew the house would be easy to sell. It sold to the first person we showed it to without even having to list it. We feel one of the main reasons it sold so fast was because it was extremely well built and offered tons of uniqueness. We have recommended Ryan to all of our friends!

**★★★★★ — Pollard Hodgson Architects, Dec. 2014**

> I have had the privilege of working with Ryan on a number of custom homes. Ryan's laid back manner makes the whole design process enjoyable, both for the client and for me as the architect. The creative ideas and value engineering he brings to the table during design is very useful and appreciated, and this carries over into construction. It is in construction that Ryan's attention to detail and creative input really gets to be showcased, both in the high level of quality in his homes and in the happy clients that are always thrilled with their end product. Whether it's a new custom home designed "from scratch" or a remodel and addition to an existing home, Ryan brings the same craftsmanship and professionalism to all of his projects.

**★★★★★ — Farmer Payne Architects, Dec. 2014**

> I had the pleasure of designing Ryan Smith's personal home. What Ryan, Kim and I came up with was a truly awesome Louisiana Farmhouse. Ryan was very attentive to all of the architectural detailing, function, and site specifics of the 5 acre property. Ryan was able to create a timeless home using the Louisiana vernacular of whitewash antique brick, stone and exposed timber. Ryan is very driven and a focused builder, who very much wants to please his clients.

> While searching for a builder to build our dream home, we diligently researched many builders. We looked at current and previous jobs and talked to current home owners of many top builders in our area. One name continued to come up, Ryan Smith Builders as the premier builder for our area. Upon inspection of Ryan Smith Builders homes, it was obvious the attention to detail and quality that set them way above the rest. I would certainly recommend Ryan Smith Builders to build your home, remodel or any project you are considering.

> I highly recommend Ryan. We are using him for a large remodel and he is very accommodating to our busy schedule regarding meetings about the remodel and in response to emails and phone calls. Has great new ideas and is very enthusiastic. He is easy to work with and does an excellent job organizing the project. Our remodel is not complete yet, but I will post a follow-up rating when we are finished. I can't wait to see the finished product!

**★★★★★ — matthewslandscape, Dec. 2014**

> I am a small business who provides Landscape/Design Build for some of Ryan Smith Builders projects since 2011. Working with them has been very nice for many reasons. Ryan has an excellent eye for detail and won't settle for anything less than perfection. He also has a understanding of what it takes to run an efficient project and how to make sure all parities stay informed and to make sure things run as smoothly as possible. He allows our team to design, make suggestions and think openly with the clients in both the design and installation process all while keeping the clients best interest in mind.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the paint color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: That is camel back 1103 Benjamin Moore
Thanks
Ryan

**Q: what is the stone does it get hot in the sun** *(in Photo Questions)*

desperately looking for a pool deck material that we can use in the north east the architect wants bluestone but too hot how about granite

A: That is travertine and it makes a great paver. Any stone unfortunately will absorb some heat from the sun but because travertine is less dense than blue stone it absorbs less. It will feel better on your feet too because it's softer but the downside to it is that it will scratch easier. You are not alone on this dilemma because I go through this with every customer and you just have to find the happy medium of looks and function. Good luck!

**Q: Information identifying this brick and mortar please.** *(in Photo Questions)*

What company and info on this brick. I'm having trouble finding a Red,gray, charcoal brick color. Thank you

A: Thanks for the question! That brick was a reclaimed brick that actually came off of one of Eli Whitney's cotton gins. It was an awesome brick but can't be replicated. My suggestion would be to go to your local Brick supplier and talk to them about a reclaimed brick. Today's manufacturing of new brick just can't replicate the way that old bricks look in color, size, and character. The mortar color was putty. Hope that helps!

Thank you,
Ryan Smith

**Q: Color of granite and tile floor?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for the question! I'm not sure on the granite and even if I was wholesalers of granite call the same color different things in different areas so it can get confusing. You should always look at the exact slab you are choosing because not only can they very from slab to slab in color different wholesalers call them different names too. The tile is an ivory and navona travertine mix. Hope that helps!

Thanks,
Ryan Smith

**Q: What colors and treatment are used on the cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

What treatment is used on the cabinets?

A: Thanks for the question! I'm not sure on the color because it was done to match the color pallet at that house. The process is done by applying a base coat which can be any color and then a finish coat which is a glaze. You can choose all kinds and colors of glazes to achieve different results. That was a white base coat and a chocolate color glaze. Hope that helps!

Thanks,
Ryan Smith
