We worked with Joe and Ben over several years developing a plan to build two houses on a rural property, even before purchasing the land Joe advised us on whether the land was buildable, and encouraged us to work with a geotechnical company etc. Joe’s guidance through the process was particularly great as he has years of experience going through the process. Being that we were very new to the build world the experience was something we were looking for in a builder but also someone familiar with the area. We worked with a couple designers to come up with our build concept, to which Joe quoted on the final product. Joe did all our site work with several sub contractors and the build began. Fast forward a bit we had the opportunity to then work with Ben who also has years of experience, and a really great design eye. Their attention to detail was impeccable, the craftsmanship of the builds are top notch. I would say we were probably a pretty high maintenance client and both Joe and Ben rolled with it. Changes were no issue Joe often said “No problems only solutions” which was ideal for us being first time builders. Fast forward to 18 month living in our place and I have to say there are very few deficiencies, and the deficiencies that are present are really things that were out of their control. We really love our place and the experience we had going through the build process. A big thank you to Meeres Construction group and their crew of folks who personalized this experience for us and got us into our new homes timely . We did not realize that Joe wanted us to be completely satisfied with every aspect of the renovation. On a gut-it-to-the-foundation project of this size that's a lofty goal but Joe and Ben succeeded. > Joe and Ben are experienced, efficient home builders who work to the highest standards with none of the drama of television renovation shows. > Joe responded immediately to questions and concerns. He gave the sub-trades credit for their work but if we weren’t happy he accepted full responsibility and made it right. There really were no problems, just solutions. > Ben is a superb project manager but also a talented craftsman with an excellent eye for design. Some of our favourite features were his idea, including a stunning concrete fireplace formed with shiplap from the original house. In the main bathroom Ben suggested staining the crown molding and chair rail. Then he added an extra detail where the chair rail meets the door and window casing.
