Born and raised in New Mexico, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNM. During his time there he studied at the Taos campus where he focused on drawing in charcoal and pastels, and creating found object sculptures. After finishing his bachelor's degree he earned an AAS in Interior Design from Santa Fe Community College. Christopher started his design firm in 2006. Most of his initial work revolved around staging houses, but today he's a full-time designer and space planner working with a large client base. Currently he holds a position at American Home as their in-house interior designer, and also has his own line of flooring and tile through Flooring Direct. He also collaborates with other designers on a regular basis. Christopher's personal style is diverse and eclectic—he favors Mexican folk art, American colonial antiques, and modern twists on the traditional. However, he's well-versed in all design idioms, and is always ahead of the trends. Although genuinely gifted with an eye for interior design, one of his biggest strengths is his listening skills and ability to determine what the client really wants (rather than the designer's interpretation of it). He always likes to use his clients' existing design elements and incorporate them into an innovative new scheme. Christopher is patient and methodical, and is a people person who enjoys the creative process with each client.
