Tried explaining all mistakes to service department but they want to charge you a service call fee to come out for their unprofessional workmanship. It was completed well. > > I purchased a new house that I completed a renovation. I went straight to Cupboards express for my new kitchen……..NEVER AGAIN. > > Project was 1 1/2 months past promised installation date. > > Installer was great. However, when a different crew came back to install kick plates and side infills they did not complete the work. I was home and they left without informing me they were “done”. These guys also put exposed brackets into my new floor and into the side panel of the dishwasher. > > I paid extra “Project Management”, which I was told that if there were issues, like WRONG measurements they would fix them at no cost. > > I ordered a counter depth fridge, which I gave the project manager the model number of, it was also on site for the final measurements to send to the factory. I told this guy that I wanted the cabinet above the fridge and side panel to the counter top to be equal to the fridge side and equal to countertop depth. It was not flush to the fridge or countertop, short by an inch and it looks terrible. When I asked for this to be fixed, the answer I received was no, you will have to pay for that. Even though I paid for PROJECT MANAGEMENT. > > they also did not install the handles correctly, they are edge pulls, which by design are supposed to be routered flush to the edge. They were installed on top of the edge incorrectly. When I asked about his, the response was “ that install is industry standard “. I said it’s incorrect install by design. Their answer, you can pay and we will do it. > > Back to the bracket screwed to my floor that was exposed and was very visible. I asked them to repair my floor, the proper way, which would be to take out some flooring and replace the damaged piece. Their answer, no. We will repair it with floor repair kit. IT LOOKS WORSE NOW THAN BEFORE. > > The 299.00 repair kit…… a broken 1/2” used piece. The initial startup phase proceeded relatively well regarding design and layout. However, complications arose with the delivery of the cabinets. While the installation team performed admirably, the product itself presented several issues, including damaged doors, incorrect drilling, and improper door swing orientation. Additionally, the shelves were left with extremely sharp edges, posing a safety concern. The installers made every effort to work with the products that had been delivered. > We subsequently experienced a delay of over two weeks for the countertops, which finally arrived; regrettably, they were also damaged upon unloading. As a result, the temporary countertops and sink moulding were returned, leading to an additional wait of three weeks. One would assume that during this time, the damaged cabinet door could have been repaired and resent, but this was not the case, resulting in an overall delay of two and a half months for that single door. > Several other minor issues arose that required the attention of the service team to rectify. One service technician was exemplary in his performance; however, a subsequent technician exhibited rudeness, necessitating that we request his departure from our home. The ongoing problems with the countertops not only delayed the project but also incurred additional costs due to these setbacks. > It is imperative to highlight the unprofessional conduct displayed by the service coordinator. We were informed that appointments would occur at 8:00 AM; yet, when we sought confirmation at 9:30 AM, we were told, "I indicated it would be after lunch." Given this experience, poor management and lack of customer care I do not foresee engaging in further projects with this company. **★ — User, Nov. 2023** > Had this company install a new kitchen, the cupboards are ok, but the contertop is messed up, there is gaps and ridges at every seam, the counter tops are different colors, it was not installed square, trying to get anyone to talk with us is like pulling theeth, We got He did the best he could, and now we are getting no responce from them, phone messages are ingnored, have asked several times for someone to call, they dont call back, now I am stuck with a messed up conter top. They rushed through it, even to the point of pushing in and started to work while we were taking out the sink. We paid for work and material that never got done but no refund for that. This kitchen set cost me 23,000.00 and it looks like hell. Do not use this company if you need service there is none or customer service. **★★★ — HU-775378665, May 2023** > The sales staff were excellent, very honest and helpful. My issue was with the install, initially I was impressed, at a glance it looked great and they got it done quickly....too quickly. Upon closer inspection there was alot of mistakes that could have been avoided by slowing down a bit and taking more care in workmanship. The bigger mistakes were a crooked peninsula and stove opening too big, dishwasher opening also too big. I think these guys aren't trained 100% I'm a tradesman and everyone in the trades know a dishwasher is 24" not 24 3/4" and stove is 30" not 30 3/4". Big gaps for crumbs to fall down and you can see the insulation on my dishwasher! However their service guy Steve came out right away and fixed the stove and peninsula so we could get our countertops. They will be adding a piece when they come to put in toekicks to hide unsightly dishwasher insulation. I still recommend these guys, they conduct themselves professionally, quality product and very pleasant to deal with. It was an excellent experience overall. Our salesperson guided us through the cabinet and hardware selection process offering us some practical insight into the product options. After placing our order, the in-home verification consultion confirmed everything required for the project had been included. I was provided with a list of things I needed to take care of prior to installation. I was contacted to schedule the installation which was able to done a week prior to another renovation project already scheduled. The cabinets arrived as scheduled and the installer did an outstanding job leaving us with a kitchen that we could not be more pleased with. do Right from our inital meeting with the salesperson to the completion of the installation I can say Cupboards Express did an excellent job and I would recommend them. We had quite dated and ugly cupboard door fronts in our house (the boxes were in good condition) and wanted new fronts and a peninsula. We were able to customize the amount of drawers and the size of drawers. One of the representatives, Jennifer, was a fountain of information, knowledgeable about their products and extremely helpful. In these days of questionable customer service, Cupboards Express went above and beyond, to help us in every way. We will be using them again for other projects. As I was under a time crunch I gave my business to them;Paying 50% of purchase price up front..expecting cabinets ready on 26th. As we wanted glass in 3 of the upper cabinet doors- the 3 doors would be delayed until the 6th of April. > On April 02 my cupboards were finally ready to be picked up;minus the glass doors-still slated for the 6th. Paying the 2nd half of purchase price; Prior to loading the cabinets I pointed out chips and dings in the melamine and voiced concern about workmanship. Their response was that countertop , kick boards and touch up paint would hide any deficiencies. > The Glass doors were not completed until April 16th; as the warehouse is only open until 330pm I had to take more time off work to pick up. Upon arriving home,and trying to mount the glass doors;it’s realized that the hinges in one door do not match that in the cabinet(different size). I call the showroom and discuss with salesman who says there is only one size of hinge!! Sent Pictures as proof and he then says “oh it’s no big deal,we can replace the hinge”. As my project is now passed due date for inspection as cupboards were not ready when promised - I am out money plus having to take time from work. Cupboardsexpress offered no remuneration; and the salesman continued to lie and make excuses. > I highly recommend spending your money elsewhere; as once they get your money - you’re just left waiting. I checked the usual places - the big box hardware stores and IKEA - before discovering the Cupboards Express showroom at Delton Cabinets. It was a worthwhile discovery for four reasons: > > 1\. The selection blew me away. Everyone else had a limited selection of finishes whereas Cupboards Express offered hundreds of combinations of profile, stain and gloss. Matching the decor of the rest of the office was easy. > 2\. The cabinets themselves have solid sides and backing, unlike the particle board sides and cardboard-like backs everyone else seems to have. > 3\. The cabinets were assembled, which saved me a morning's work. (I have to admit to having trouble following schematics for some of the "easy-to-assemble" furniture and cabinets.) > 4\.
