> We loved the look of the MetroFlor French Quarter Cafe Chevron, Cafe\`Au Lait, but the size this product comes is hard to install, and DO NOT buy this product if you have an old house with uneven floors. It gives no forgiveness, and does not stay clicked together. We have had numerous issues since they were installed 1 month ago. For the price of $6.99 per square foot you would think you would have a durable, easy to work with product. It is also a very wasteful product. You need to order 25% more product than the standard 10% overage. Devastated we spent so much money and do not have floors that will last a lifetime.

> We bought the Metroflor Engage Genesis 600 series for our living room and master bedroom. We were sold on the features of “scratch resistant” and “waterproof “ because at the time of installation we had pets in the house. Although we are pleased with the waterproof feature, we are not happy that the floor scratches VERY easily. There are also a couple of places where the joints are failing. And last but not least, the floor is very discolored (it has green tint now) in front of the sliding doors. We keep the curtains pulled shut during the day when the sun shines through. We are very disappointed and do not recommend this product.

> Horrible product and customer service. We purchased Engage Inception Luxury Vinyl LVT Planks for our entire condo in Maui. They were installed by a professional contractor who has done projects both commercial and residential. Within the first year, a few planks started popping up. When we contacted the retail flooring store, we were told the problem was not with the product but with how it was installed. The installer has confirmed that the floors are level, it was installed as per specifications. Currently, the entire condo flooring is popping up at each corner joint. We have to have all the floors replaced.
>
> Our contractor contacted the manufacturer, who refused to address this issue. I would not recommend Metroflor.

> We had Metroflor Engage LVP installed in our home in June of 2015. The published warranty is 20 years, material and labor. This product is the poorest excuse for quality flooring I have ever encountered. In August of 2022 we noticed the edges of the flooring delaminating and peeling off the top (wear) layer and separating at the joints. We contacted the dealer who installed the flooring who in turn contacted the company rep. Nothing happened until the company had a so called independent inspector (inspect Solutions) inspect the floor on Dec. 1, 2022.
> The inspectors report determined the sub floor used was correct and the floor showed no issues with the maintenance. His report stated the floor was out of spec related to flatness. The house was only 9 years old when the floor was installed. He measured the floor where is was separating so it would not be flat. He also indicated there may be issues with the installation.
> The dealer who installed the floor decided to supply new flooring if we paid the for the installation. The new flooring (a different manufacturer, thicker material, much quieter ) was replaced last week. They found no issues with the subfloor flatness. Super pleased withe the new flooring and especially the dealer.
>
> Stay away from Metroflor. Their product is junk and they do not stand behind their product.

> Just had Engage Inception installed in our 3 bedrooms. Installers were great ( (appears many bad reviews has to do with installation) and although it has only been a few days love the look of the floors. My only drawback is we use one room as an office and have now been told no rubber backed rugs! Now have to purchase office plastic pad to put under rolling chair. This also means no scatter rugs anywhere. Unfortunate.

> Just had the main level of our home done in Engage Inception in Sandalwood. The floor looks amazing! With two kids and a dog...we decided to go the vinyl plank route verses putting in real hardwoods. I was a bit skeptical about how it would look once it was all in...but I am very pleased. Love the sheen and texture to it and the beveled edge is a great look! If this floor holds up and lasts as advertised, I'll be a happy camper and will gladly spread the word about Metroflor!

**Comment from Metroflor:**

> Thanks for choosing Metroflor, Marc! Your floor looks beautiful. So glad you are happy with your choice of Inception Sandalwood. It should stand up to your sweet puppy too. Have a great weekend!

> We purchased 3000 sq ft of the Metro Floor City Canyon Walnut, and our builder had it installed in June / July of 2019. It was for a new build house. We moved in late October.
> This flooring has been an issue from the beginning. The ends separate with good size gaps. It does not lock in tight as advertised. It also scratches very easily.
> This flooring is AWFUL. Cost to much money for what you get. We also filed a claim. The inspector came out and decided it was an installation issue. It is a brand new house. I do not agree with the inspectors report. He also said the flooring was stored in the garage before install.
> That is not true. I helped carry the boxes of flooring the house during the delivery..
> Why he said that is just ridiculous.
> We are extremely upset and disappointed at this product and company.
> THIS COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND ITS PRODUCT.

> To update our home’s color scheme, we replaced our old Columbia laminate (which was practically bulletproof) with Metroflor’s Engage Genesis luxury vinyl. It was expensive, but we chose it over other vinyl plank products because the Metroflor website bragged that its Engage Genesis series has a “tough, transparent wear layer \[providing\] the ultimate in abrasion protection.” As soon as we moved the furniture back into the newly floored rooms, we were disappointed. Engage Genesis scratches very easily. A relatively light weight dining table with smooth wooden feet put a 4-inch scratch in the floor. A couch with plastic feet put two 3-inch scratches in the floor. The old Columbia laminate withstood much heavier furniture being slid across the floor. I am disappointed with the Engage Genesis. It is not worth the price.

**Comment from Metroflor:**

> Hi Tim, this is Gary Keeble, the Director of Marketing at Metroflor. I’m very sorry to hear that our flooring did not live up to your expectations. We do our best to ensure our products can withstand the regular wear and tear of daily use but understand that things like this can happen. Your home – and your flooring looking the way you want it – is important to me and I’d like to have the opportunity to see if we can make it right. Please feel free to email me at gkeeble@metroflorcorp.com.

> So sad we spent lots of $$$ on engage genesis only to get poor product that started having gaps within week of install

**Comment from Metroflor:**

> I'm so sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with your Engage Genesis floor. How can I help? Have you reached out to the retailer where the floor was purchased to initiate an inspection and claim? Please let me know how I can assist.

**★ — Lori Graham, Oct. 2019**

> Purchased product and had professionally installed in whole house. End joints pulling apart as much as 1/4 inch all over my house! So called "inspector" said uneven floors in my FIVE YEAR OLD HOME and bad install----fyi, flooring store still using same installer so they must know what they are doing or the company just doesn't care! Flooring Store and MetroFloor refuse to stand behind what is obviously defective product. Buyer beware!

**★★★★ — John Waldram, March 2019**

> Floors look great but the Distribution in the NW needs some work. It took a couple weeks but Metroflor helped sort things out

**Comment from Metroflor:**

> Thanks for being patient, John. We were transitioning to a new distributor in the northwest, to Tri West Ltd and I appreciate you sticking with us during the transition which has been completed. Tri West has been a long time distributor for Metroflor in the Western US and will do a great job in the northwest US. Thanks again for the kind words.

**★★★★★ — Judy C, March 2019**

> We just built a new home. We had the builder install the Engage Genesis 2000xl in Tobacco on our main floor. Move in date December 2018. So far we are loving it. We did get some scratches during move in but I used some touch up markers and you can’t even see them. I also use the Prevail floor cleaner once a week after vacuuming. Most of our family and friends did’t realize it wasn’t wood until we told them. So far we are very happy with the flooring. I will review again in a year after our 110 lb Bernese Mountain granddog has given it a workout. We get him at least once a week. I have uploaded some pictures of different rooms in different lighting to help those looking for this color.

**Comment from Metroflor:**

> Thank you so much for the review and the kind words, Judy! Congratulations on your new home and flooring installation as well. It looks incredible! If it'd be all right with you, we'd love to feature your review and photos on some of our social channels.

I have a beautiful wood flooring in the hallway and staircase. I am remodeling the kitchen and putting in Engage Genesis 2000XL Cameo on the floor. I would like to extend it to my family room. But I am afraid it would look bad where it touches the hallway.
