Skip Sroka has been practicing interior design since graduating from Cleveland Institute of Art in 1977. Skip practices a design philosophy that emphasizes each client's personal tastes and lifestyle needs in order to achieve interiors that blend fine aesthetics with comfort and function. He feels that a new project should look as if it has always been there; a design in context to its surroundings.

> Unfortunately we had a very disappointing design and business experience with Skip Sroka, Liz Bausch and their firm. We hired them to design a master bath in fall of 2019 with a strict budget of $100K. After assuring us at every point throughout the process that we were on target to hit that number and “it would not be a problem," multiple final bids came in starting at $175K. Even accounting for COVID issues, 75 percent above the promised budget (to start, before construction issues/change orders/etc) seems a stretch. Skip was entirely unfocused, unresponsive and unrepentant from start to finish, and offered no viable explanation or path forward other than “This is your decision as to how much you want to invest in the house. You are in a good neighborhood, when things are done right, they represent value.” He then went on to say the the $9K we paid him FOR A COMPLETELY NON-BUILDABLE PLAN was “pretty fair." Budget issues aside, both Skip and Liz were difficult to pin down and get in touch with, and connectin/getting answers often required multiple follow-ups on our part. In addition, they consistently put the horse before the cart and were far more focused on how things looked from a design perspective - finishes, wallpaper, furniture - instead of focusing on important considerations such as lighting placement, spatial planning, etc. The end result is that we now have a plan that, while it looks cool on paper, we cannot afford to build and have nothing to show for 9K.

**★★★★★ — clindenauer, Oct. 2014**

> Sroka and his team worked with us to design and decorate our primary residence in 2007 and mange a full, substantial rehabilitation of our beach condo in 2014. For both projects Skip was very hands on and brought new life into the space. His keen attention to space planning, lighting, color, patterns is like no other and will stand the test of time. Sroka Design is a true one-stop design company that can manage builders, architects and other contractors. Skip and his team are professional, energetic, reliable, and a pleasure to work with.

> My husband and I recently completed building and decorating our new home.
> A key member of our team was Skip Sroka and Colleen Lettich from Sroka Design.
> After working with them over the past 18 months, in all phases of the project, I only have great things
> to say about them. I love the results, and I highly recommend Skip and his team for any design project.
> You hear a lot of horror stories about building a home but none materialized in our
> project because of Skip's many years of experience. He has wonderful style and flare that
> he adopted to our taste, which was most important to me and he understands a financial budget
> and adheres to it which was most important to my husband. We have been in our home for
> less than three months and it looks like we have been here for years thanks to Skip and Colleen's
> hard work and attention to details.

> As a high end remodeling company we work with many design and architect professionals. Sroka Design Inc. is with-out a doubt one of the most refined and professional designers we have had the pleasure to work with. We have made some of our best relationships and built many of our most unique projects through Skip and his team. They always think through the details and are great at providing comprehensive plans that are not only great to build from but offer an easy to understand design lay-out for our clients. I would highly recommend Skip Sroka and his team!!
