> I came across David's work in a recent issue of Modern in Denver magazine, and was immediately impressed with the quality of the images. I hired him shortly after to photograph a recent project I had completed and was extremely happy with the results. David has a great eye for architectural composition and is extremely knowledgable about photographic equipment.

**★★★★★ — Design Platform, Nov. 2012**

> I hired David to shoot a home we recently finished remodeling and was thrilled with the images he provided. David worked so well with the clients and saw opportunities for shots that I hadn't even considered. He was great with scheduling and communication to myself as well as the client, and stuck it out to make sure he got the very best shots possible. Turn around on the post production was quick and the images are amazing. It was money well spent. As an Architect and General Contractor I understand the power that well shot images can have to explain and market a project. David understands that as well and works hard to tell the story in his work. I recommend him very highly.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where is the rug from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It was purchased at Pomp Home in Culver City. http://pomphome.com

**Q: has anyone figured out how the panels are constructed?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: From the owner:
"We designed and built the fence from off-the-shelf wood siding available at most home improvement centers. To reduce cutting of lumber, we used the actual size of the siding which was 8ft. x 4ft. as the height and width of each panel. The "inset" panel sections are cut in half and placed horizontally to counter the vertical lines of "outer" panels for graphic impact. Each panel are set on 4x4 posts every four feet and framed at the top using 2x4's. It's pretty basic construction."

**Q: What kind of chair is paired with this table?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello. It was purchased at DWR but they no longer carry it. You can send me a private message at davidlauer@mac.com for more info.

**Q: what type of wood was used for the fence** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello! I am the photographer and am unsure about what type of wood it is. However it was painted so I am sure you could re-create that look with a variety of woods or synthetics.

**Q: I love this credenza...where did you purchase it??** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love this credenza...where did you purchase it??

A: This is a vintage credenza purchased at OC Modern in Long Beach, CA. Great stuff and reasonable prices! www.ocmodern.net

**Q: When cutting the partitions out of the walls what would you use to fill in the edges to make them solid for painting?** *(in Photo Questions)*

When cutting the partitions out of the walls what would you use to fill in the edges to make them solid for painting?

A: The vertical pieces were wood 2x4s already in the wall. We added 2x4 horizontally to make an interesting design and then applied thin drywall to all the edges. Prime and paint!
