I am thinking about changing from electricity to gas on my cooktop. I would like to know the pros and cons of this plus what  features to look for in my new cooktop.

A: Gas, you are in control, Electricity, you're just along for the ride.  Seriously,
had electricity for years then remodeled and got gas. LOVE IT! You know exactly the heat you're getting as you can literally see it.  When you turn it down, it's down, you turn it up , it's up.  Electric - you have no clue what it's doing.  You will not regret switching to Gas.
