> Heidi designed and oversaw the construction/installation of our beautiful new kitchen at 6 Montagu Street in Charleston, South Carolina, the 2024 Charleston Symphony Orchestra Designer Showhouse. We called the reimagination of this grand c.1803 residence the IMAGINE! Project, reflecting its aspiration to merge existing historic spaces and details with a dramatic vision for the future, pushing the envelope of what is possible. Heidi's kitchen footprint was entirely in the modern addition, but immediately adjacent to finely detailed and ornamented rooms that had changed little in 220 years ... requiring the modern appliances, surfaces, and functions to coexist happily with a traditional main floor plan. Heidi's design of cabinetry details, the selection of materials, the development of a massive, custom range hood, the specification of lighting placement and fixtures, all combined in a breathtaking harmony that stood out in a house full of fine design and innovation. We certainly recommend Delicious Kitchens highly and would be glad to share our experience, and the results, with interested parties.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> What a treat it was to be asked to design not one, but two kitchens in this historic Charleston GEM. Through the process, I met so many people who previously had lived in one of the 6 apartments that were previously part of the house; all were amazed and delighted. The transformation was among the most dramatic I've experienced and working with Rob and his team, was a privilege and honor. The sparkling elements and soaring ceilings in the main kitchen together with the unique lower level details perfectly suit this special home.

> Heidi is a Fantastic Designer! I have worked with her on numerous projects and it's always a great experience.

**★★★★★ — SBN, Jan. 2025**

> Heidi helped me create my dream kitchen ... and pantry, and laundry room, and bathrooms! She is professional, knowledgeable, and creative, with a great eye for what works and what doesn't work in a space.

**★★★★★ — jskozel, Dec. 2024**

> I hired Heidi and Delicious Kitchens when we were planning a gut kitchen renovation in a 1950 cottage in Charleston. I knew that there was not an inch that could be wasted in creating my dream kitchen in the existing footprint. I also knew I didn’t have oodles of spare time to research fixtures and fittings myself. Heidi did all that and presented me with just the right choices that did not overwhelm. The result was a beautiful kitchen that fits into the esthetic of the old home and my collection of furnishings perfectly. It is also spacious and efficient with more storage than I ever imagined possible! Heidi is very talented, organized and professional and I recommend her business without reservation.

> We contacted Delicious Kitchens for help designing our kitchen, walk-in pantry, laundry and bathrooms of our new build. We wanted a classic coastal vibe but most importantly, wanted it to be a functional and comfortable space to live in. Heidi hit the ball out of the park, the design is perfection. The flow of the kitchen, the size of the pantry and laundry room are exactly what we wanted. The bathroom layout is excellent.
> Heidi is amazing to work with, super responsive and she got it! Through a series of zoom meetings, idea photos, and visits to the space, she asked a ton of all the right questions to get us what we were hoping to achieve. Everything from the functional layout of the space, the cabinet design and cabinet inserts, to the wall and tile colors, the design is next level and better than we could have imagined.

**★★★★★ — Peggy Archambault, Dec. 2024**

> I could not be more pleased with the design and products chosen for my kitchen renovation. Heidi's designs and suggestions were spot on. She listened to and observed everything I wanted for my kitchen and was available during the week and on weekends if I had questions or needed help making a decision. I will depend on her expertise in another one of my projects soon. She is professional and has a great rapport with other professionals on the project.

> Heidi is an amazing designer. She helped us to completely remodel our kitchen and master bathroom. The kitchen is an absolute dream, and a big change from the original floorpan. The space was dark, with limited cabinets and counter space. We ended up moving some of the appliances to make the space work more efficiently. We now have a beautiful, functional space in which to entertain family and friends. Heidi helped me to add some pizzaz with the tile selection and the addition of a new bar space. The bathroom is equally as wonderful! The tile selections were spot on and added so much to the newly designed space. Heidi is so easy to work with, she took our original ideas and added suggestions to make an amazing transformation in our new home in Summerville. We will definitely use her again for any future remodeling projects.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> A Summerville stunner to be sure, I am thrilled you're loving your "new" kitchen and bathroom. It was great to work with you and incorporate your ideas, the result is a fresh and functional home you'll be able to enjoy for decades. Thank you for your kind words!

**★★★★★ — Emmett Higdon, Sept. 2023**

> Heidi's redesign of our kitchen and dining areas completely transformed our living area in our Hilton Head home! Switching the kitchen location from the front of the house to the rear to pick up greater light from patio doors and flow straight into the family room is an option that we would never have thought of without her vision.
>
> Her excellent communications and attention to detail gave us confidence in the final outcome as we navigated the twists and turns presented by any major renovation. We are delighted with the final outcome, and could not recommend Heidi more highly!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> When I initially suggested that we switch the location of the dining room to the front of the house, and move the kitchen to the back, the idea was not met with enthusiasm. Fortunately, these clients were open minded and the result is a functional and beautiful kitchen that is open to the living and dining areas convenient to family activities and outdoor space, as well as a bar area. The high sloped ceiling is accented with coastal blue tile and nautical lighting which is perfect for this Hilton Head island home.

**★★★★★ — stephanie lucas, Dec. 2022**

> Heidi helped us navigate a complete kitchen remodel that turned our poorly laid out, drab kitchen into a functional, bright and happy kitchen. She helped keep the project on track and supported me through all the decisions big and small that are required on such a project. She is great at reading where you're headed and supporting that journey, not imposing her own. When asked, Heidi is not afraid to give her unvarnished opinion on design elements or product suggestions but there is no pressure to take that advice. She also was more than willing to work within design elements that were already in place and worked to make sure the whole space worked together. I love color and pattern and it was wonderful to be able to bounce ideas off her and get productive feedback and not worry about making expensive mistakes. I absolutely love my kitchen (even my wary husband is glad we did it!) and look forward to working with Heidi on more projects (laundry room, kids' bathroom) in the future!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> When a client writes "YAY!" in the memo of the deposit check, the project is going to be fun. The happy attitude continued through construction to completion and the cheerful cabinet color and tile are favorites to be sure. Thank you very much, it was a pleasure indeed to help with your renovation.

**★★★★★ — Jerry Bruno, Dec. 2022**

> Heidi was such a pleasure to work with. She brought the design expertise we needed to make our vision a reality. She pushed our thinking of what’s possible and encouraged us to consider cabinet designs and colors in our kitchen and baths that were bold, yet timeless and sophisticated … which we absolutely love now in our newly renovated home. She coordinated seamlessly with our builder and other tradesmen and was always communicative and transparent on timelines which helped keep the entire renovation project on schedule. Call Heidi today to help with your project!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Your historic home with it's iconic South of Broad location was thrilling for me to work in. I love that you embraced the charming details and traditional elements and worked to preserve the character of your house, it's warm, inviting and fully functional for a modern family. Thank you sincerely for trusting me with the special spaces that help to make a house a home.

**★★★★★ — Beth Girling, Dec. 2022**

> Stunning designs paired with professionalism, meticulous planning, and prompt, friendly service. The first floor of our home was broken up into three separate rooms that we weren't effectively using or in love with. They were dark, inefficient for entertaining, and outdated. The unused spaces ended up filled with the overflow of our sports equipment and we had resigned ourselves to cramped social interactions in the small kitchen space. Heidi and her team crafted multiple design options for us to choose from that opened up the space and both maximized lighting and created a sophisticated style that also appeared warm and inviting. She supported us through every step of the project including panicked texts about grout shade variances to approval of flooring that would ultimately complement the rest of our house. In tandem, Delicious Kitchens designed two overhauls of our existing bathrooms that brought us a unique and stunning bath wrap, a tub in a small space deep enough for a household of 6' giants, and small but elegant variations between the two rooms that allowed for consistency without redundancy. We haven't stopped entertaining since the project was completed and the complements continue to flow. Our new spaces are unique, lovely, and designed perfectly for the needs of our family. Thank you, Heidi and team!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> WOOT WOOT!!! These are the best words, thank you for sharing this high praise, I am absolutely tickled that you and your family are loving your home and entertaining!! I know that bathtub is also giving you all of the "serenity now" vibes whenever you get a chance to finally relax, those boys keep you running!! Thank you again for trusting me and my ideas to dramatically transform your space, I hope you continue to enjoy your stunning renovated home, keep entertaining!

**★★★★★ — Beth Fitzgerald, Dec. 2022**

> What a joy working with Heidi from Delicious Kitchens! I highly recommend her to all my friends and would definitely work with her again myself on a future project. Heidi is prompt, professional, creative, a voice of reason and on top of every little detail. Exactly what is needed during a major home remodel.
>
> I discovered Heidi on Houzz through her other projects and hoped she would take on my small galley kitchen. We were downsizing from a large open kitchen floor plan with a functional island and I was doubtful that I could ever love a galley design.
>
> Spoiler alert: I love it!
>
> My husband and I both love to cook and we needed to use every millimeter in ours. Heidi found the perfect balance and helped us stay within our budget. I could not be happier with the results.
>
> In addition to our kitchen, Heidi also helped us redesign my husband’s office; again, going smaller. We needed creative solutions for a functional office and Heidi was the answer.
>
> She helped with tile selections in our bathrooms and paint selections on our walls. She is a consummate professional and really knows her trade. Not just the color, texture elements, but the all important down-to-the-millimeters decisions that can make or break the usefulness of a space.
>
> I will call Heidi first for my next home project!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Thank you for your kind words, I am thrilled to hear you're enjoying the "new" space so much. I look forward to sharing the professional photos as soon as possible. It was a pleasure to work with someone so savvy, you have impeccable taste and the decisions made reflect your style. Thanks again, very much.

**★★★★★ — Laishy Carlson, Dec. 2021**

> I can’t say enough great things about working with Heidi and I would recommend her to anyone.
> As we were new to the area, our real estate agent recommended Delicious Kitchens. Heidi was the right person for the job - being patient with us and guiding us through many supply chain challenges.
> To renovate our dark and outdated kitchen, we wanted to create an opening between the kitchen and living area but couldn’t give up storage space and therefore couldn’t entirely remove walls. I handed Heidi a folder of pictures collected over the years to show her a variety of kitchens I loved. From those pictures, Heidi created a stunning design which opened up the space, created a ton of storage, added a peninsula area, and is truly the kitchen of my dreams.
> Her design includes gleaming white cabinets, lots of lighting, glass-front cabinets for china, plentiful drawers and storage, a gorgeous range hood, space for both a range and a double oven, and an opening between the kitchen and living area which connects the kitchen and living area (and lets me keep an eye on the football games on tv). We kept the primary footprint of the kitchen but rearranged appliances, sinks and the eating area. The sunny window above the sink, with plenty of space for plants, is a favorite spot.
> As we encountered the inevitable challenges with building, supplies, and changing items due to stock-outs, Heidi remained attentive and patient, offering alternatives and whittling down choices so that I was not overwhelmed. Our builder said that Heidi created the best, most professional drawings that he had ever encountered, and all of the trades on our job loved working with her.
> Thank you Delicious Kitchens!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> It was such a pleasure to work with you and transform your space in such a dramatic fashion!! I love that you were so receptive to fresh ideas and the finished result is indeed a sparkling transformation, thank you very much! The finished photos are now posted on HOUZZ and the project is titled "Shimmering Views"

**★★★★★ — leslie mastranunzio, Dec. 2021**

> It was such a pleasure working with Heidi on my kitchen backsplash project. It is gorgeous!! Her innovative recommendation transformed my kitchen into a beautiful space I absoutely love! She is so conscientious about her work, making sure I was completely satisfied with the selection, quality of work and finished product. She even made me cute little table coasters out of some left over tiles :) Her response time was incredible, we completed this project in record time with little disruption to our day to day life :) I am incredibably happy and look forward to utilizing her skills on more kitchen and bath projects in the future. Thank you again Heidi and Delicious Kitchens!!!

**★★★★★ — Tammy Trenholm, Dec. 2021**

> Delicious Kitchens gave me the freedom to get creative, yet provided me with the right amount of guidance to be sure no detail was overlooked. Every part of my kitchen is exactly what I needed to be efficient and it is also quite a show piece!

**★★★★★ — Mari and Erica Mathewson, Dec. 2021**

> Heidi has an amazing gift to transform your home from ordinary to outstanding! From design to execution she makes it fun and even exhilarating. Heidi worked to create a plan of action with multiple options while keeping the budget in mind. She closely monitors the work being done to ensure quality work is being done. I highly recommend Heidi for your interior design project.

**★★★★★ — Sally Moffitt, Jan. 2021**

> Heidi is amazing. A true professional, she is knowledgeable and creative regarding all aspects of the project. Equally important, she is sensitive to and respectful of the client's personal tastes regarding design. With Heidi's guidance, we took an awkward, unattractive and unusable space and turned it into a beautiful bathroom.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> It was such a treat to transform your quirky bathroom into a stylish wet room with beautiful and durable finishes. The unusual space was a little challenging and the changes we made allow this bathroom to be useful for the very tall and very small family members who get to use this space. Thank you, it was a true privilege to work in your island home, photos are posted to the "Seabrook Angle" project including some "BEFORE" photos!

**★★★★★ — Mary Mathewson, Dec. 2020**

> Heidi is a multi talented designer who interprets a space unique to every client. She took builder grade finishes in the master bathroom and turned it into my coastal retreat! From concept to finished product no detail is missed or overlooked. Looking forward to working with Heidi on my next projects. I highly recommend her for any renovation project.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> "Mission Accomplished" for your coastal retreat (YAY!!) I am excited for the next phases of your homes transformation and thank you sincerely for your continued trust and enthusiasm. Photos coming soon!!!

**★★★★★ — Sara Blum, Aug. 2020**

> This is the first time I have used a designer, and I have really learned why you want one. From my original thoughts that were improved upon with smart, but simple extras, to the on-site critical eye keeping everything on pointe as the project progressed, I was in such good hands. Heidi had the experience to keep me from making some real mistakes. She helped me choose colors and tiles that reflected my and my husband’s tastes, but also go together so well. I could not have done that on my own! She made the process easy and fun for me—and I really wasn’t expecting that! As the project moved along, she was on top of every development ensuring that the contractors were executing the vision exactly. The value of Heidi’s eye, Heidi’s experience, and Heidi’s expertise were beyond measure. We are thrilled with the end project and keep pinching ourselves because it’s ours!!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

They absolutely love the color of the cabinets and all the different shapes, sizes and functionality of the cabinets. Everyone especially loves the pull out spice racks! I am so glad we found you. **Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Dear Cindy,
> Thank you for your kind words, you and your husband are delightful clients! I think I had the most fun with your FROG office space, so many wonderful spaces in your lovely home, I will share once we get them photographed!

**★★★★★ — Anne J, Nov. 2018**

> We had a wonderful experience working with Heidi to create a tiny kitchen in a seasonal 1950s cabin. The space was small, but Heidi worked with us to include all the storage and functionality we could have wanted, with tons of style. She was attentive to our budget, and offered suggestions to ensure that we spent money in the places it would matter most. We found her to be highly responsive and professional, and we appreciated her insight and experience, especially given the challenges of working in such a small space. We are thrilled with the quality and value we received, and we were particularly pleased that Heidi was able to accommodate our preference for local cabinet and counter makers. Thank you, Heidi!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Dear Anne,
> I love a challenge and was thrilled to incorporate the colorful wish list items for your sweet efficient space! (Custom blue cabinets, walnut counters, nautical accents... so FUN!) Thank you so much for your kind words, I look forward to sharing photos, the integrated drain board and cheerful retro-style refrigerator are among my favorites.

> What an ANGEL!! We depended on Heidi %100. She created a complete and beautiful kitchen for us, one beyond our imagination. Before we hired Heidi, we were beyond confused with how we were going to create our new cooking space. Heidi reeled us in and kept us focused, finding our likes and keeping us on track. The result is a GORGEOUS, affordable kitchen that has upgraded our cooking lives! God bless Heidi and Delicious Kitchens!!!!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> This project was a delight for me, you were receptive to fresh ideas for your not-so-huge space that you and your husband cook in daily. The demands on this space for storage and counter to accommodate your unique needs meant that function was paramount, and the aesthetic had to come after that. We were able to incorporate some subtle sparkle in the hard-working space that I know you are loving, thank you for inviting me into your home and allowing me to transform an ugly duckling into a swan. (Pictures Coming Soon!)

**★ — Carissa Smith, March 2018**

> From the beginning of our bathroom renovation project to the end, we were very clear and consistent about our maximum budget and our primary motivation for the renovation (ease of cleaning). The first set of plans Heidi provided did not match either criterion (though we didn’t learn that it would exceed our budget until we received our labor estimate from the contractor). The second set of plans addressed our concerns with keeping the shower to a manageable size but—as we later learned once we got the labor estimate—was not feasible with our budget. It would have been preferable to let us know before signing the contract that it was not actually possible to change the layout of the bathroom within our budget, and that we would be better off just finding someone to help us choose materials.
>
> The issue of choosing materials was where we were hoping for the most help, as we indicated in our first meeting with Heidi. We had to make multiple requests for assistance, several queries went unanswered, and many of the products Heidi recommended and/or approved turned out to be incompatible with each other or with the bathroom setup Fortunately, we were able to make returns on the incompatible materials, but not without a lot of hassle. We ended up spending many hours on the project that we had hoped to avoid spending by hiring a professional. Heidi did lead us to a competent contractor, but that's about all we got for our money.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Dear Carissa,
> Thank you for taking the time to express your frustration, it sickens me that you’re upset as my goal is always delighted clients regardless of the budget. I am truly very upset that I fell short of that expectation.
> When I meet with prospective clients, as was the case with you, we discuss goals and plans as well as the budget. For your master bathroom renovation, you wanted many changes including a dramatic re-design with plumbing being relocated, new tile flooring, shower walls, fixtures, cabinets, counters, storage etc. I was concerned with your budget constraints and I shared with you some resources regarding typical similar project costs as well as a budgeting tool to help you as you made decisions to allocate available funds etc. After reviewing all of this, you chose to retain my services for the re-design of the space even though the documents (Remodeling Magazine’s 2017 Cost V. Value Report ) I shared with you revealed much higher costs than your initial budget.
> As you have suggested, I referred you to an excellent contractor, and after multiple plan revisions, the contractor visited the site with multiple trades people in order to accurately quote the labor portion of your project. Obviously, that cannot be done before the detailed scope of work is defined, and his estimate came in higher than anticipated.
> Projects get scaled back and changed occasionally as customer’s dream spaces don’t match their spend limits. In your case both you and your spouse were emailing the contractor and me, however, it was not clear that some emails were intended for me, rather than the contractor. I am sure this added to your frustration.
> When I work with clients and purchase materials for them from reputable vendors, I carefully consider how each piece fits with the next in terms of functionality, design and, of course, budget. Because you purchased your own items from various on-line sources I simply cannot take responsibility for pieces that were incompatible.

> POST AND BEAM HOMEOWNERS DREAM...
> I bring forth such high praise for the vision, skill, creativity, and design aesthetic that Heidi brought to our project! From the first meeting to discuss the vision for our home, Heidi "got" the vibe we were after, and set forth concepts, materials, products and designs that fulfilled every aspect of the vision we had for our home! Heidi's communication skills are such an important piece of bringing life to ideas, and in fact assisting the client in traveling the road from concept to reality! Further, the ideas that I brought to Heidi were always integrated into the project, and enhanced by her skill set as we worked together to create such an amazing living space! It's so critical to click with the person bringing a concept to life, and I can say unequivocally Heidi listens with thoughtfulness, enthusiasm and attention to detail, then brings forth stunning results! Highly recommend Heidi for ANY and ALL aspects of interior design!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Paula, Thank you sincerely for your kind words, I'm blushing! It's always a delight to assist clients who are inspired to create the space that is truly "their" dream and not just a re-iteration of a someone else's lovely but predictable space. Your home is exactly that, a reflection of your dream and vision realized. The custom and personalized touches that infuse the house with charm add character and warmth to all of the spaces. Rich natural materials and artisan-crafted elements are combined with great attention to detail and stunning result. It was a pleasure to work with you and I hope you'll love your home for years to come!

My kitchen and bathrooms turned out the way I wanted and this was the easiest part of my renovations. I was very pleased. I highly recommend Heidi.

> Heidi was a pleasure to work with. She always kept her appointments, listened well, and was incredibly receptive to client wishes. She was always positive and helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. I never felt that Heidi was counting her hours, and she obviously has a passion for her work. She was a trusted colleague who provided consistent support, and who fielded my endless questions, calls, and emails. She was also a terrific ally who supported me when contractor-initiated errors were made. I was very pleased with the final design choices, which was a blend of my own style, as well as incorporation of key elements that I would not have considered. Heidi also helped ensure that we maximized the functionality of the renovated spaces. I would definitely torture her again!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Transforming spaces like yours give me great pleasure and I look forward to another project! The spa-like setting we created in the master bathroom hopefully will allow much relaxation and ease the pain of living through the lengthy construction throughout the house, including the kitchen, which was disruptive to be sure. I hope you'll enjoy the "new" spaces for many years and thank you for trusting me with your ideas to create your (for now) dream home.

> My boyfriend and I purchased a "fixer upper" in the fall of 2012. We had a timeline to renovate our kitchen and Heidi helped us with the project. We were overwhelmed with our kitchen project. All of a sudden, so many decisions had to be made and we were completely inexperienced. We didn't want to design a kitchen and then regret our choices later on. We had never taken on a project like this before.
>
> Heidi provided us with the insight and expertise to design a kitchen that is beautiful, functional, and within our budget. She was respectful of our decision to do everything ourselves and was there for advice and guidance every step of the way. She answered questions for us on the weekends, provided us useful links on the internet, and even in the end, put us in touch with a finish carpenter that helped us to complete the project. I can't say enough about how great it's been to work with Heidi on this project! The kitchen is not technically finished, because we still anticipate putting in a larger window and tile backsplash, but we are so pleased with the look of the finished cabinets and the kitchen layout that she designed.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Thank you kindly!! It was such a pleasure to work with you both... the photos speak volumes... "BEFORE" (UGH!) to AFTER... > Before we started our kitchen and bathroom renovation I had never met Heidi. I knew her mother and seen some pictures of Heidi's work but we never met in person until the job was almost done. Heidi had moved her business from NH to SC so it was with some hesitation that I entered into a major project in which my only contact with the chief designer would be phone calls, emails, and lots of photos sent back and forth. My hesitation was TOTALLY unfounded. My wife and I are 100% pleased with the results of Heidi's work. My greatest compliment that I can give is Heidi listens. She takes your ideas and shows you how to make them better and in many cases less expensive. We had some different ideas for this renovation. Some were a little off the wall. Heidi didn't try to change our minds but showed us ways we could accomplish our goals and end up with a better end result. Every idea she recommended, even those I was initially resistant to, ended up being better than we had initially envisioned. This was not a big project. This is a downsize house for us. But while it is much smaller then our current home we wanted all the features and quality we could fit within the space and the budget. Heidi helped us accomplish that and more. Her guidance with materials, suppliers, and fabricators was indispensable. I can give Delicious Kitchens & Interiors my complete and unequivocal recommendation. Even if you only connect via phone calls and email. Pictures of our project will be added once my wife and I finish a few painting projects.
>
> Update, 11/25/2015; Well I still have to post some photos! But I wanted folks to know that even though this kitchen is smaller than our former home it has been easier and a pleasure to work in. Two, three, and even on occasion four people can be working side by side with no problem. It just works so much easier that I want to cook more!

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> I'm thrilled to hear your thoughts, many thanks! Working remotely is fairly common and with exceptional results as your comments suggest. We have done projects in far off places, some I've never seen in person. With text, email, and video conference options we can strategize and collaborate easily. Our numerous cabinetry options enable us to deliver anywhere: logistics are simplified. Thank you very much for your candid appraisal, it really speaks volumes. I look forward to seeing the professional photos: we'll get them posted ASAP, and, I wish you both all the best in your "new" forever home.

> I highly recommend Heidi and Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC. Heidi is the utmost professional who has her client's needs in mind at all times. She goes above and beyond and making sure you are pleased with your project. Heidi made several suggestions to me in re-doing my bathroom that I am so glad I took as they make a real difference in the utility of the space.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Dear Andrea,
> What a privilege it has been to transform two bathrooms for you: thank you very much for your kind words. The "Blues to Spa Worthy" and "Sunny and Glad" projects are both great examples of maximizing efficiency in busy bathroom spaces. I'm excited for the next project: the new kitchen! Thank you sincerely, Heidi

**★★★★★ — Darby Williams, July 2015**

> Heidi provided me with expert advice and a wonderful design for the two bathrooms in my 50 year old home. We had had the baths remodeled 11 years prior, but had done them more cheaply than we wanted because of our limited budget. They were both showing wear and the master bath shower surround leaked around the edges. These bathrooms were tiny and there was no space available to expand them. I asked Heidi to figure out how to add more storage space and to bring the design into the 21st century. Because of budget constraints I did not have her replace the bathtub and surround in the main bath. Heidi's design nearly doubled the storage in both bathrooms, especially the master bath. She fit in cabinets by varying the depths, put a pull out spice cabinet for toiletries in the master. She helped me find beautiful, affordable tile for the floors and the shower surround, helped me sort through the pros and cons of a cast acrylic shower floor versus a tile shower floor and respected the choice I made, found quartz remnants for the counters, and patiently waited for me to make up my mind about paint colors. If Heidi had not been a friend before I hired her, she would have been one by the time the job was done. She also provided to me a contractor who was detailed in his work, careful about cleanup, respectful of my time and an excellent communicator. If I ever get to see Paul again, it will be like running into an old friend.
> I sold my house a few months after this project was completed. The buyers cited the bathrooms as one of the big reasons they wanted the house.

**Comment from Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC:**

> Thank you very much! Your effervescent fun personality certainly shines through in the master bath with fun bubbly tile! I know the new buyers were delighted that they had updated fully functional spaces with exceptional storage for everything. I'm also thrilled you were able to enjoy the rooms prior to your big move across the country, and I look forward to assisting with the next project.

> I have a traditional New England cape. It was really important to me to significantly upgrade my kitchen and the attached mudroom and reflect my slightly quirky taste without loosing the integrity of the traditional aspects of this house.
>
> Heidi really listens to her clients and does not impose her personal taste on the designs she produces. I couldn't be more pleased. She made numerous suggestions to improve the functionality of the space, helped with the selection of colors, hardware, and counter top designes, doubled the available storage, and imparted a design that coordinates nicely with the architecture and style of the rest of the house.
>
> Since redesigning my kitchen/mudroom she has done the same for my son and daughter-in-law, redesigned and renovated a life long friend's kitchen, and completely redesigned and renovated from the studs up my brother's kitchen and bath. I would not have recommended her to family if I did not have the utmost confidence in her ability to deliver on a variety of projects, both large and small, in entirely different architectural styles and personal tastes. There have been nothing but raves. Trust me, I would hear if people were not happy!

> Very dissatisfied. She pretty much took our money with nothing for us to show.
> Upon meeting Heidi, I thought I had finally me someone special. After interviewing several cabinetry I thought she was the one for me to design my cabinetry. Needless to say that was not the case. She was sweet, professional and seemed genuine. She overwhelmed me with hundreds of pictures and designs by emailing a pdf for book to me. I hired her to do guide me and narrow done what she thought would look good in my home. I emailed her and asked her for help. It seems like she quickly without any design sense of my home gave me 2 designs to choose from. When we tried to get the color I had wanted she sent 1 sample that was way off then several weeks later sent another sample that was way off. She responded to email but that's about it. After that she seemed to give up (this is after we paid her $600. the $600 was only for my kitchen desk. She sent me drawings but they were not to scale and the new cabinetry maker we found said the drawings were useless and we got scammed. Heidi did not follow through on helping me. after 7 months I gave up hope on her. I asked for partial money back which she gave back half. She still did not do $300 worth of work. Its hard to trust people these days. Sad but true.

> Mrs. Zaccaro initially contacted me November, 21, 2014, since then I have replied promptly to each inquiry, via text, phone or via email. I was excited to work with her to assist with her dreams of enriching her space to create the finishing touches for her lovely home.
>
> Our first visit was without any cost or obligation to (over two hours on December 1, 2014) when I measured and listened to her complaints about the builder and her concerns and hopes/plans for the areas including the desk, butlers pantry, shelf niches, built in bench, display shelves including a kennel space for the Italian miniature Greyhound dogs, the laundry room and back hallway doors.
>
> Mr. Zaccaro was not willing and or able to participate in any of our meetings including the follow up design presentation at their home where I shared the initial concept plans for the spaces which represented about 24 hours of design time, again with no cost to the the Zaccaro's.
>
> Mrs. Zaccaro was thrilled with the plans and said she'd discuss them with her husband, and soon after emailed that they wanted to proceed with the desk area first, agreeing to a design retainer of $600.00 to be applied to the purchase of cabinetry exceeding $5,000.00 within sixty days. I delivered color blocks and immediately emailed the preliminary plans and we scheduled a follow up meeting for a week later; I revised the plans and priced the job with specific door-style, wood specie and finish based on her requests. The desk plan featured a specialized purse drawer, printer pull-out, hanging file storage space and fancy turned feet in addition to open shelving at the wall cabinets. The custom option was exactly what she said she wanted however the quality and therefore price was beyond what Mrs. Zaccaro was willing to spend. It was at that point that I began the quest for less expensive options that would come close to the finish and style of the custom option. I sent a multitude of door options to give a wide variety of options enabling her to to personalize it to her liking in keeping with the style she had already created in her special home which resembles a castle. Once Mrs. Zaccaro shared that there were too many options for her I sent my specific recommendations. I had a local shop replicate the custom finish in a special distressed glaze in an effort to decrease the price without compromising layout details. At that point Mrs. Zaccaro shared she had a prior price (from over a year ago) that was less money so I went back to the drawing board and revised the plans again and priced in another manufacturer that offers fewer options and embellishment. One element that Mrs. Zaccaro was not willing to compromise on was the egg and dart molding that is not readily available in the wood finishes that are less costly. I purchased multiple door samples which were sent directly from vendors to Mrs. Zaccaro in an attempt to find the perfect shade to compliment her existing color palette.
>
> In March Mrs. Zaccaro requested additional design work, indicating she wanted to go ahead with other areas previously discussed but still could not find the perfect color.
>
> Between design revisions for the desk, conferences with the vendor regarding samples and pricing various options I spent about 38 hours on the desk area alone, which doesn't include any of the trips or meeting time in Mt. Pleasant. I was willing to devote the extra time (beyond the 14 hours covered in the initial $600 Design Retainer) because I was excited for the transformation to create a special place for the Zaccaro's. I don't typically sell designs which is why the plans that were provided to her indicate "not released for construction" and "this drawing is the exclusive property of Delicious Kitchens, LLC" they were not final and therefore not fully detailed or for the use of another cabinet maker.
>
> In late May Mrs. Zaccaro said she did not feel I had provided any value: this is a situation I have not encountered in over 20 years in the kitchen business; my clients are delighted and I certainly wanted this for the Zaccaro's as well.

She took the original design and changed virtually every aspect. We were thrilled with the changes and built the kitchen to her specifications. We have lived in the home for 7 years now. The great design of the kitchen pays dividends every day. It is easy to use and retains a great classic look. We are considering the idea of selling our home and building another one. > We initially found Heidi right here on Houzz and decided after our first visit that she was by far the most qualified, friendliest, and knowledgeable designer of all that we had interviewed. Her professionalism, vast experience, network resources, and availability is something we realized she possessed as well as our project unfolded. She envisioned much more for our kitchen than we ever could have, guiding us along the way with our decisions. Instead of telling us how it "should be," she gave us options and opinions from past experiences. She was not judgmental when we leaned away from (very few) of her ideas but rather gave us a final picture of what the end result would be. Often they were things we never would have thought of without her vast knowledge. Heidi was also always just a phone call, text, or onsite visit away when our frequent questions arose. Heidi at Delicious Kitchens guided us through the complicated and often overwhelming process with her extensive knowledge, experience, professionalism and patience. She was able to recommend products we didn't even know existed, and handled so many details that would have otherwise caused undue stress.

> At our first meeting, we described what we had in mind, the products we liked, along with our design ideas. I was adamant that I did NOT want a modern looking kitchen. The kitchen she designed for us is not only beautiful and inviting, but extremely functional. I love to cook and entertain frequently, and I find the kitchen both easy to work in and comfortable for my family and friends.

## Community Q&A

**Q: what are the dimensions of the entire 2 island with table?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Very unique and beautiful design!

A: Hi Susie, Thanks for your question, this project is over a dozen years old, I don't have access to the archieved files, the approximate dimensions are 10' x 12' not including the space for stools on the back side of the raised island.

**Q: The flat rock tile is beautiful!** *(in Photo Questions)*

What was the flat rock tile source? Lovely!

A: Thanks for your kind words, we purchased the "Green Wave Pebble" tile for our client locally, here in Charleston, SC

**Q: Love the color of those cabinets!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Any chance you could share the color name and paint manufacturer?

A: The color is by Sherwin Williams \#6510 "Loyal Blue" Thank you!

**Q: Hi, I love the vanity. could you let me know where is it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am renovating guest bathroom. Most grey vanities have marble type top with grey vains. I love that this top is just white.

A: The vanity top is quartz, (manufactured) and is mostly white, however it has gray veining through it which is visible around the sink. There are some beautiful quartz stones without veining, Cambria has some colors which may suit your needs. Take a look at White Cliff, Smithfield and Whitehall, all by Cambria!

**Q: what is the brand of the air jet tub?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the brand of the air jet tub?

A: We prefer to work with our local plumbing supply house, most areas have one with displays and knowledgeable staff.

**Q: how big is the shower tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Thanks!

A: The shower wall field tile is 2.5" X 9" thank you for your question.
