> My past experiences with Missoula area contractors were not very positive but Straightedge Construction was the complete opposite and overwhelmingly positive.   From our initial meetings with Jim where he took the time to get to know us, our taste and our goals for improving our home to the completion of the project all went super smoothly.   We had the same two professionals (Evan and Jordan) show up everyday.   No parade of sub contractors in and out of my house doing electrical, tiling, painting, flooring, etc.   They did it all with minimum impact on our household.   The tile work was especially well done.   In addition, they contacted me immediately when they ran into any obstacles to provide options for overcoming these which they immediately did.   We are so happy with the finished project and we will definitely be calling on Straightedge for future projects.   Actually we already have!

I came to know him through his donated time to help teach high school kids to build a home that was later raffled off. From amazing kitchen remodels, to backyard entertainment areas and preparing homes for handicap accessibility, these guys can do it all. You should see the custom home they are building now from the ground up! I recommend Jim and Straightedge to anyone looking to have their project done right the first time.

> I was impressed with Jim when he met with us for a walk through prior to providing an estimate. From what I could tell from Web searches and reviews his company does great work. When it came to providing an estimate things seem to fall apart. After contacting him he said he would work on the estimate over the 4th of July weekend and get back to us. After not hearing from him the following week, I called and left numerous messages without any response--ever. I can understand not wanting to do a project, and can respect that. However, I would have appreciated enough professionalism to return calls and let me know that, for whatever reason, the project was not a good fit. In a day and age of dwindling customer service, a phone call and explanation would have gone a long way.

> Thank you for the honest review.  You are absolutely right.  The volume of estimate requests we received this summer became overwhelming.  I would be lying if I said that this was the only instance in which this happened.  Unfortunately it is not.  However, we have taken the necessary steps to remedy this from ever happening again. We have increased staffing levels and brought on someone strictly working on estimates. I apologize for not communicating this better and wish you luck with whoever does complete you project.
