## Community Q&A

**Q: Granite countertop is a perfect color!  Do you know the name and Mfg?** *(in Photo Questions)*

In the picture, the granite looks like a nice combination of tan and gray which would compliment almost any decor.  i am looking for something like this for my kitchen and master bath.

**Q: Exterior sliding doors or folding doors?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

In the process of designing an addition to my house. Would like to use sliding pocket doors or folding doors to connect the cover patio with kitchen and family room. Any suggestions ? My architects have never used this products. Is it better 2 separate openings with a column?

A: Depending on the size of the opening, double pocket doors tend to be problematic over time.  A more appealing option would be a folding glass wall system from NanaWall, Art Glass or La Cantina.  Especially if you plan on entertaining they are stunning.  Some of the major door & window manufacturers are also making these systems such as Marvin & Jeld Wen.
